Your guide to Valentine’s Day in Liverpool 2024

Love is officially in the air again as preparations for Valentine’s Day in Liverpool are well underway.
Restaurants are filling up, hotels across the city are gearing up for one of the busiest nights of the year, Valentine’s Day! And there’s always that one person who doesn’t know what to do for their loved one… Well that’s where we come in!
We have put together a guide on restaurants, hotels, gift ideas, and experiences – so that the special person in your life will be made up with whatever you decide to do this year!
Baltic Market
Baltic Market has revealed its Valentine’s-themed Week Of Love filled with romantic nights, fun-fuelled comedy and lots of LOVEly themed drinks!
Liverpool’s first street food and drink market will play host to a week filled with events from Monday 12th February through to Sunday 18th that are perfect for date nights and Galentine’s fun.
On Monday 12th February, Baltic Market will show romantic flick Pretty Woman with tickets £5 per person that can be purchased here. Food from Richie’s will be available to purchase.
On Tuesday 13th February, couples and friends looking for a laugh can enjoy a comedy night with headliner Karl Porter for just £5 per person. Tickets can be purchased here and food from Polpetta will be available to order on the night.
On Valentine’s Day, the market will welcome the return of its Jazz and Wine evening, setting the scene for a romantic evening, where guests can enjoy discounted bottles of wine, live jazz music and delicious dishes from Baltic Market’s nine traders.
On Thursday 15th February, half price bottles of Prosecco are available and throughout the week, the market’s limited edition signature Valentine’s cocktails – Peppermint Passion and Blackberry Sour – can be enjoyed.
On Friday and Saturday, the market will have live DJs and bands and on Sunday, to complete the full Week Of Love, their signature Roast dishes will be back from La Bistroteca.
Shrek the Musical at Liverpool Empire
See the unconventional love story of Shrek and Fiona come to life on stage in this incredible musical.

For Valentine’s Day at The Art School, Paul Askew and his team have got two wonderful experiences on offer.
Valentine’s Day truly begins the gastronomic calendar for 2024 and The Art School once more immerses guests in the exquisite splendour and beautiful details of Sugnall Street.
Paul continues to champion and represent the city region’s independent suppliers, dedicated to seasonality and sustainability through his world-class gastronomy, alongside a global wine list from some of the finest vineyards. The wonderfully romantic occasion is also part of The Art School’s 10th anniversary year which is officially reached in September 2024.

Botanico is hosting its first Valentine’s Day in the heart of Woolton Village with a romantic four course menu and glass of prosecco on arrival for £45 per person.
Couples can tuck into freshly baked focaccia and olives to begin their evening before enjoying their choice of starter from a selection that includes pan fried king prawns, served with cherry tomato sauce, chilli and garlic or deep fried calamari served with garlic mayo and salsa, or four cheese focaccia with a heart shaped half tomato or oven baked aubergine parmigiana with tomato sauce, mozzarella, parmesan and basil to name a few.

Enjoy a romantic dinner in entertaining surroundings at Sapporo Teppanyaki.
The restaurant, based in the heart of Liverpool, is sharing the love with their Valentine’s Tasting Menu.
For £49 per person, guests can get a four-course dinner along with a dining experience like no other. At Sapporo Teppanyaki restaurants, diners can watch their food being cooked on the teppanyaki tables while chefs entertain with their impressive tricks.
On the menu for Valentine’s Day at the Duke Street restaurant is a pre-starter choice of truffle and miso soup and California love sushi, followed by baby squid with sweet chilli mayonnaise, chicken skewer glazed in a miso peanut sauce, duck gyoza and a crispy mushroom pancake roll with plum sauce.
For the mains dishes, which are all cooked in front of guests, there’s a choice of two meats including chicken fillet, salmon, ribeye, lamb fillet and jumbo prawn tails. These are all served with stir fry vegetables, egg fried rice, sautéed potatoes and your choice of sauce.
There’s also vegetarian and vegan options, with tofu and vegetable Yakisoba noodles fried on the teppan grill with mixed vegetables and Sapporo special yakisoba sauce.
To finish it all off there’s a choice of chocolate spring rolls, strawberry cheesecake love heart, vegan brownie or a selection of ice cream and sorbets.

Delifonseca Dockside
Love is in the air at Delifonseca Dockside as the award-winning restaurant is set to play cupid this Valentine’s Day with a romantic set menu.
The Liverpool eatery is giving romantics a four-course menu with sharing options and arrival drinks to celebrate the special night on Wednesday, February 14th. From 5pm, diners can choose either a Cosmopolitan or a Rhubarb and Rosehip Spritz as their arrival drink.
Starters range from a choice of Queen scallops with a chicken skin crumb, salsify and blood orange reduction or confit tomato and mascarpone raviolo, or a beef tartar with a confit egg yolk. Sharing dishes are also on the starter menu with options including a baked Camembert or oysters.
The Brunswick Way restaurant is also giving guests the choice of three main dishes, ranging from seafood linguine to duck breast, or goats cheese and truffle croquettes – there’s one sharing dish of an 18oz Chateaubriand available.
Sweet-tooth lovers can pick a dark chocolate mousse, white chocolate crème brulee or a rose-infused panna cotta to finish off the meal. Sharing desserts are also on the menu.
All this will cost Valentine’s Day guests £55 per head at Delifonseca Dockside. Booking is essential and can be done via the Delifonseca website here.
LEAF
No month at LEAF is complete without Pudding Club and there’s two Valentine’s Day specials coming up.
All Pudding Clubs feature lashings of sweet-toothed rapture with five delicious courses carefully paired with LEAF teas.

Stuck for ways to treat your special someone to a night of romance, without breaking the bank this Valentine’s Day? The Florist has launched a Valentine’s Date Night Menu for two, running on Wednesday 14th February, and it’s made up of three courses for only £66, including a cocktail each.
Decorated in romantic blush tones and adorned with cherry blossom, lanterns and hand-painted floral artwork, it’s the perfect setting to spread the love.
