We’ve lined up a whole weekend’s worth of fun stuff for you to enjoy this Bank Holiday.

There’s a three-day weekend heading our way, so if you’ve managed to get an extra day off and you’re looking for something to do with it, here are 16 ways to spend the May Bank Holiday in Liverpool… 

Bank Holiday Sunday Party at BOXPARK

If you want your Bank Holiday Sunday to be all about an amazing atmosphere, great music and a choice of fantastic street food, you won’t find anywhere better than BOXPARK at Cain’s Brewery Village. There’s a Sunday all-day party happening so get down there between 11am and 11pm.

Comic Con Liverpool takes over the Exhibition Centre

Comic Con is back at the Exhibition Centre this Saturday and Sunday with its biggest ever show and that means big names from film and TV plus a chance to get dressed up and join in the cosplay. Expect a star-packed line-up including Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis and Danny Dyer.

The Legend of Ned Ludd is on at the Everyman Theatre

Workers over centuries have fought against the threatening rise of automation and this show at the Everyman reveals their struggles across eras and locations in a fascinating way, by allowing a machine to decide which scenes are shown so making every performance different. On until May 11.

The Life of Pi is on at Liverpool Empire Theatre

This Olivier Award-winning production was a sensation on Broadway and the West End so it’s a must-see now it’s on its first UK tour. Told through world class puppetry, the story follows the epic journey of Pi, who’s stranded on a boat with a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, and a Bengal tiger.

China Crisis take to the stage at the Floral Pavilion

China Crisis are up there with the best bands Liverpool’s ever produced and they’re still going strong. Hits like Wishful Thinking, King in a Catholic Style and Black Man Ray left their mark on the charts in the 80s, so for a nostalgic night of top quality music head to the Floral Pavilion on Saturday.

Sefton Park Social is on

Sefton Park Social is a new series of mini festivals supporting Africa Oye and the Liverpool Disco Festival and it kicks off this weekend. On Sunday, 1-10pm, Liverpool Disco Festival in the Park has a line-up featuring Dave Lee, Pal Joey, Giles Smith, Lev, Morgan, Dharma Collective and Angel Mel plus lots more.

There’s a Big Country Daytime Party happening at Electrik Warehouse

The biggest Country Daytime Rave is coming this Saturday. Get to the Electrik Warehouse on Wood Street, 3pm-10pm for a day devoted to music from the likes of Luke Combs, Josh Turner, Luke Bryan, Dolly Parton, Taylor Swift, Shania Twain plus themed cocktails and a fabulous light show.

Experience Breakout Liverpool in the city centre

If you love a bit of head-scratching clue solving with a bunch of mates then you really need to try Breakout Liverpool on Sir Thomas Street. It’s got 13 different themed live escape rooms to choose from, ideal for groups of two to five, and you’ll have 60 minutes to work as a team and get out.
