It’s a month full of foodie events in Liverpool this March

As if the hundreds of delicious and varied restaurants in our city isn’t enough, we also have a calendar, crammed full of mouth watering events this March too. From keeping your Mum happy on Mother’s Day to getting geared up for a foodie feast during Easter – there is something on the menu for everyone this month.

Mother’s Day Event – Mama Mia Mother’s Day – 11th March

On 11th March Constellations are throwing a ‘Super Trouper’ event for all ABBA lovers far and wide. Taking its theme from the cinematic, ‘not so guilty’ pleasure of many, this 70s themed affair will be serving up a 4-course Greek style menu, while you sing along to the ABBA anthems. Tickets include a drink on arrival, live music, and, most importantly, the tapas menu itself. Children are welcome although be advised that there will be loud music and alcohol, making for a boozy Mother-Daughter duo or two. Tickets available here.

Mother’s Day Event – Mother’s Day at Malmaison  – 10th/11th March

A Mother’s Day weekend extravaganza this way comes at the glorious Malmaison. A Saturday, and Sunday, Swing are the best ways to celebrate your special Ma. On both days you will be treated to a glass of bubbly on arrival, an Afternoon Tea to feed the party and a singer throughout the afternoon to feed the soul. Tickets are under £30 with things kicking off around 1pm and wrapping up at 5pm. We can’t decide which is tantalising our taste buds more, the food, the venue or the music, so let us know after you’ve been. Book your table here.

Feast of Fire, St John’s Gardens 23rd March – 2nd April

Feast of Fire

Now this one is going to be HUGE and you’ll literally see our city light up like never before. From 23rd March to the 2nd April Feast of Fire takes over St. Johns Gardens, transforming it into magical land of fire, music, art and most importantly, food for Easter. Waving goodbye to winter, guests will be treated to cocktails and food stalls galore, as well as a whole host of festivities over the period. From African Oye to a celebration of Chinese culture in the city, the Feast of Fire is top of the hotlist this month. More info here.

Breakfast Event – Collective Brunch  – 18th March

On Sunday 18th March, get yourself don to Siren in The Baltic Triangle to feed your soul. In association with Lifestyle Collective, Siren is hosting a brunch to be reckoned with including a Bellini or Mocktail on arrival, hot or cold brunch options and even spa treatments including manicures and pedicures. Tickets are £30 and include all of the above; you can even email them at to specify dietary requirements. One for a late Mother’s Day, or early Easter, treat, or, y’know, just a Sunday morning. Book your tickets here.

Dinner Event of the Month – Moveable Feast – 22nd March

“Have you ever walked past the slightly ajar door to a private dining room in your favourite restaurant and wished you could enter?” That’s how Moveable Feast starts their description of their upcoming Liverpool event, which is even more intriguing than what they’re putting on. Diners will be treated to a drinks reception in the ever so trendy Buyers Club before being whisked between courses, taking in the elegant private dining rooms of The Art SchoolHope Street Hoteland Oktopusas well as a stop at an extra, top secret venue. The best part about all of this – all funds raised will go directly to support Action Against Hunger’s work ending child malnutrition in over 45 countries around the world. Drinks Event of the Month – Bourbon Festival, The Black-E – 3rd March

On Saturday 3rd March The Black-E plays host to The Big Bourbon Festival. Gin seems to be the tipple of choice at the moment, but, just before spring arrives, we thought we’d tell you about this little belly warmer. The festival returns this year with over 125 different bourbons whiskies, live music, food stalls and a free gift or two with your ticket. This is obviously for the 18+ so remember your ID, folks in order to enjoy the free samples and the whole spectrum of flavours that you can get of the US hard stuff. Tickets available here.
