Liverpool’s own Jamie Webster is back with brand new music, a fourth studio album and a fresh run of intimate live shows as he enters what he says is a more reflective new chapter.

The singer songwriter has announced his new album, Running Round The Sun, set for release on 4 September 2026, alongside the release of his brand new single, Just Begun, which is out now.

For Liverpool fans who have followed Jamie from packed pub gigs to huge hometown headline shows, this next chapter feels like a full circle moment.

After selling out massive venues and playing to 32,000 people in Liverpool on one unforgettable summer night, Jamie says he is stepping back into smaller rooms for a run of more intimate UK shows this September.

The tour will see him swap huge outdoor stages for smaller venues across the country, giving fans a closer connection to the songs after years of arena and festival success.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 29 May.

Known for telling the stories of working class life through songs like Weekend In Paradise and This Place, Jamie’s latest album explores themes of identity, mental wellbeing, community and belonging.

Speaking about the new record, Jamie said:

“This album is about trying to make sense of it all. Life, pressure, expectations, the way things are changing around us and still holding onto who you are through it.”

The 12 track album was recorded between studios in South Wales and New York and sees Jamie reunite with long time collaborators, while also featuring fellow Liverpool musician Kieran Shudall on Across The River and singer songwriter Rianne Downey on album closer VAT.

The announcement comes almost six years after Jamie released his breakthrough debut album We Get By, which topped the UK Folk Album Chart and helped turn the former electrician from Liverpool pub singer into one of the UK’s biggest independent artists.

For Liverpool, Jamie’s rise has always felt personal.

From performing in pubs across the city while working full time as an electrician, to singing for an estimated 50,000 Liverpool fans in Madrid before the 2019 Champions League final, Jamie has become one of the city’s biggest modern music success stories.

He has since sold out huge hometown shows becoming the soundtrack to Liverpool for a generation of fans.

Before heading out on tour, Jamie’s only festival appearance currently lined up this summer is at Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington later this month.

Running Round The Sun lands on 4 September, with tickets for Jamie Webster’s UK tour on sale from Friday 29 May.
