Kids Travel Free with Merseyrail on World Car Free Day

Ditch the car and explore the region with Merseyrail this Sunday and kids under 15 travel free!
World Car Free Day 2019 takes place on Sunday 22nd September and Merseyrail invites you to plan a fun, family day out on the train. To make it even easier to explore the Merseyside beaches, parks and attractions, kids go free! Up to four children age 15 and under can travel completely free of charge – with one paying adult.
Merseyrail services connect Liverpool city centre with Wirral and Southport and many places in between. Why not plan a day on the sand dunes at Crosby Beach, penny slots and ice-cream at Southport Pier, a bike ride along the Wirral Way or maybe visit one of the free to enter Liverpool Museums? The possibilities are endless!
Did you know you can travel all day with Merseyrail for as little as ÂŁ4 per adult? Day Saver tickets can be purchased online or at the station. Choose your zone or choose all zones for just ÂŁ5.30. You can have your ticket emailed to you before you even leave the house!

1 – Colourful Creatures, Merseyside Maritime Museum
National Museums Liverpool hosts free, drop in sessions for families every day of the week. This Sunday from 1pm-4pm the kids can get crafty and have their faces painted at the Merseyside Maritime Museum. More info here.Â

2 – Otterspool Adventure
If your kids love to burn off steam, an afternoon at Otterspool Adventure is sure to tire them out! With giant bouncy pillows, soft play, play park, diggers, slides and more there’s also an on-site coffee shop and plenty of space for adults to chill. More info here.Â

3 – Southport Pleasureland

4 – Bubbles World of Play, New Brighton
Merseyrail connects Liverpool with Wirral stations so you can explore the other side of the River Mersey with ease. 5 – Escape Hunt, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool
Teens will love this new Royal Albert Dock attraction.
