Knowsley Safari is turning the page on a brand-new magical storytime adventure this May half term.
To celebrate the National Year of Reading, the park is launching ‘Once Upon a Time’, a magical week running from Saturday 23rd May to Sunday 31st May that brings your favourite storybooks to life with activities the whole family will love.
This will be running every day between 11am and 4pm, with the immersive programme transforming the attraction’s Foot Safari into a magical world of fairytales and storytelling.
All ages will enjoy a feast for the senses as characters and whimsical performances pop up, entertaining visitors at every opportunity. Inspired storytellers can get pratical in imaginative craft sessions, making their own finger puppets and even creating their own performances.
Event-goers will find themselves transported into the classic tales we all know and love, brought to life with cheeky characters and cosy story time sessions.

Helena Berry, Head of Marketing and Sales at Knowsley Safari, says:
“Stories play such an important role in childhood, sparking imagination, building confidence and nurturing a love of reading. With Once Upon a Time, we wanted to find creative, playful ways to bring books off the page and into the real world, helping children connect with stories in a fun and memorable way – and the National Year of Reading seemed the perfect time to do it.”
The new Once Upon a Time events are included with standard Safari admission tickets and are created to appeal to children of all ages for a day of family fun.
