LEAF announce ‘All About Music’ month with open mic nights, live gigs and more happening

January includes the return of LEAF’s open mic nights, live gigs, a pop-up vinyl shop, Pudding Club specials, special themed cocktails and more.

The idea for the LEAF All About Music month is inspired by the signed tea tins from the legends who have taken the stage at Bold Street’s first floor or performed at LEAF’s venues over the years.

Music is a big part of LEAF, from supporting local acts to hosting big stars, and this month will celebrate it in many ways.

During January, the city’s wonderfully storied past, vibrant present and momentous future in music is being showcased at Bold St, Smithdown Road and in West Kirby, as Liverpool gets ready for a huge musical year with Eurovision on the horizon. 2023 is going be a brilliant year for the city and LEAF are helping to launch it with All About Music.

LEAF

The LEAF Wall Of Fame (Downstairs at LEAF Bold Street throughout January)

This is on show on the ground floor of LEAF on Bold St throughout January and includes all of the signed tea tins from iconic stars including Mick Fleetwood and Mike Skinner to Sister Bliss and local legends Stealing Sheep. There are many tea tins and each has a story to tell.

Open Mic nights are back (Downstairs at LEAF Bold Street – launches 12 January)

LEAF’s Open Mic sessions return after a long hiatus, starting from Thursday 12th January at 7.30pm with host Ogo. This is where the budding stars of the future can be found from across the city region. The doors are wide open to all musical folk from with the chance to perform live in front of a crowd and showcase their singing and instrument skills.

Pop-Up Vinyl Shop with live music (Downstairs at LEAF Bold Street – 22 January)

A pop-up vinyl stall filled with all kinds of genres takes place on Sunday 22nd January during brunch – there’s plenty of crate digging to be had and a veritable gold mine of tunes to discover. Live music too will help everyone ease into Sunday from 11am – 1pm.
