Light up your street for Liverpool’s Marie Curie Hospice this Christmas
4 years ago
End of life charity Marie Curie has launched a local Christmas appeal to support their Liverpool Hospice in Woolton.
The appeal is encouraging local residents to turn their streets into a festive Christmas wonderland by taking part in the charity’s ‘Light Up Your Street’ and ‘Dec Your Door’ fundraising campaign during December.
Community Fundraiser Ruth Todd said:
“This Christmas we need your help – Marie Curie’s income has been devastated by the pandemic, many of our fundraising activities have been cancelled, yet our services are in more demand than ever.
Every year our Liverpool Hospice and Community Nursing Service provides specialist end of life care and support for over 1,000 local people and their families and we need your help to ensure that we can continue to do so.
“Our target is to raise £20,000 here in Liverpool to pay for hospice care over Christmas and we’re asking the local community to join with us to celebrate this festive season and fundraise at the same time by taking part in our ‘Light Up Your Street’ and ‘Dec Your Door’ campaigns.
🎄⭐️🎄We are calling all businesses and schools to support our amazing Hospice with some festive fundraising!!!
