LIMF 2019: Watch all the highlights from an incredible first day at LIMF 2019
5 years ago
Did we just see the best LIMF set ever? Saturday brought the crowds, the sunshine and amazing festival vibes to Sefton Park.
What a day in the park! Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) went all out on day one and if you were there to see Ella Eyre, Sigma and 3Beat @30, YXNG Bane and more, you’ll know.
The atmosphere was truly electric on the run up to what’s being described as ‘the best LIMF set to date’ as legendary producer, musician and writer, Nile Rodgers and his band Chic brought a big dose of funky to proceedings. The entire park (and beyond) busted moves to all the greats. Good times all round.
Watch above as our cameras catch all the celeb interviews, bouncing crowds and more at LIMF 2019.Ā
Across the festival site, families enjoyed storytelling, face painting and busting moves with their own mini disco. Liverpool sound lovers flocked to the City of Music Stage for an unmissable tribute to Zanibar’s Tony Butler. The Sundowners, Tea Street Band and more gave it their all.

The two colossal tents at either side of the festival site were bouncing all day and evening. Norman Jay, Jazzie B, Kenny Allstar, DJ Ace and more hit the decks and the crowds loved it.
LIMF Saturday was a sell out by 4pm with shuttle bus service pre sale tickets selling out in advance too. With good weather predicted for Sunday, don’t waste any time in grabbing your Ā£11 ticket to see Disco Classical with special guest Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge, Nao, De La Soul, SG Lewis and more.
Our Jay is back with you on Central Stage so if you’ve got a shout out, drop us message @TheGuideLpool.
