Liverpool BID Company and Mandela8 join forces for Acts of Kindness on Mandela Day
4 months ago
This campaign, previously known as “My 67 Minutes,” encourages everyone to spend time helping others or their community.
In celebration of Nelson Mandela International Day on Thursday, July 18, 2024, Mandela8 and Liverpool BID Company invite Liverpool residents to honour Mandela’s legacy through Acts of Kindness.
Liverpool BID Company has organised events such as community litter picks and mindfulness sessions at Old Hall Street, Hope Street, and Princes Park, alongside a special litter pick and boat cruise with the Canal & River Trust.
Nelson Mandela International Day, on Thursday 18 July 2024, shines a light on the legacy of a man who changed the 20th century and helped to shape the 21st.
The day is used as a moment to renew the values that inspired Nelson Mandela, and to examine how his values should inspire us to take action and make a change.Â
Acts of Kindness include mindfulness sessions and litter picks at Old Hall Street, Hope Street and Princes park along with a litter pick and boat cruise with the Canal & River Trust.
Bill Addy, CEO of Liverpool BID Company, said:
“Acts of Kindness are a truly transformative practice that change how we interact with eachother and our city. For businesses it is a moment to consider their role in our community and society and to be part of the hustle and bustle of the city for a day.”
Businesses can add their Act of Kindness here.
