Liverpool Empire Theatre has launched a new programme for young performers
5 years ago
The Liverpool Empire theatre is open for new members for a host of weekly classes and performance opportunities.
Building on the success of the Liverpool Empire Youth Musical Theatre Company and established Junior and Senior Youth Theatres, the team are looking to inspire the next generation of theatre stars with two brand new performing arts clubs aimed at younger children.
The Creative Learning Department delivers a varied programme of weekly classes in dance, drama and musical theatre throughout the year, for children, young people and families who want to improve their performance skills.
Parents and carers are invited to bring their toddlers and pre-schoolers to the theatre for a fun session of creative storytelling, each Monday morning from 10.30 to 11.30am. This is the perfect opportunity to give little ones a taste of the performing arts and get them singing and dancing from an early age.

A brand new Saturday morning offer will fill the gap for 5 – 7 year olds as the weekly Act One Beginners club is launched. Children will gain new skills in dance, drama and song in a fun and energetic environment. Sessions will also give children an opportunity to make new friends and build their self-confidence through performance.
Meanwhile, applications are also open for the Junior and Senior Youth Theatres (8 – 15 years) for the next academic year. Being part of the youth theatres entitles young people to weekly musical theatre sessions in singing, dancing and acting.
Youth theatre members are set to perform at the Liverpool Empire as part of a winter showcase in January and will take part in the Musical Theatre International Festival in Birmingham in May 2020.
