Liverpool FC set to march in Liverpool's Pride to champion LGBT+ community

Liverpool FC will join Liverpool’s Pride march this weekend, celebrating inclusion, equality and diversity alongside the city’s LGBT+ community.

Scheduled for tomorrow, July 25, the parade will bring together LFC staff, fans, Official Liverpool Supporters Clubs, fan groups, and colleague networks from commercial partners to participate in one of the city’s premier Pride celebrations. As an official sponsor of Liverpool Pride, the club is set to march alongside thousands of people from across the region for the annual event.

This year commemorates 14 years since LFC made history as the first Premier League club to participate in a Pride march. Under the banner of Red Together—the club’s overarching commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion—a dedicated summer lineup of activities has once again united staff, supporters, and local neighbourhoods.

Earlier this month, the LFC Foundation kicked off the festivities by hosting its annual Pride football tournament, bringing together various local league teams for a day centred on sport, networking, and community spirit.

The Young People’s Advisory Service (YPAS) also joined the tournament to raise awareness about the vital support services they offer to youth throughout the city.

Continuing its involvement, the Foundation will participate in Saturday’s festivities by running a dedicated booth at Liverpool Pride, offering attendees a chance to learn more about its local outreach and initiatives.

The club’s yearly Pride badge design contest has once again showcased the artistic talents of youth involved with the LFC Foundation.

This year’s top design was crafted by Grace, a participant in Foundation programmes, who was chosen from 364 submissions by the club’s LGBT+ staff network. The badge will be prominently worn and distributed during the weekend’s festivities.

Fans can also show their support for Pride through the club’s dedicated retail line, which is available both online and at official LFC team stores, offering a variety of Pride-themed apparel and merchandise.

A portion of the sales from this collection goes directly to local LGBT+ charities, with the club’s total contributions to LGBT+ causes reaching £20,000 through this campaign so far.
