Liverpool’s community-driven independent venues, Abbey Road Bar & Kitchen and Harrison’s Hotel Bar & Kitchen, are gearing up to spread Easter joy by launching their annual Easter Egg Appeal this March.

Recognising the strain of the current cost of living, the Easter Egg Appeal aims to alleviate some of the burdens families may be experiencing.

From Monday, March 4, until Saturday, March 30, the day before Easter Sunday, members of the public are invited to participate in this heartwarming initiative by donating Easter Eggs to support local families and children in need.

Whether it’s one egg or a bag of eggs, every contribution makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

In the spirit of giving, all eggs collected at either of the two venues will be generously matched by the businesses themselves. These donated eggs will then be distributed to local community centers, ensuring that families facing challenges during these difficult times have a brighter Easter celebration.

Easter eggs can be dropped off at either Abbey Road Bar & Kitchen, located on Harrington Street, or Harrison’s Hotel Bar & Kitchen, situated on the corner of North John Street and Victoria Street in Liverpool City Centre.

Additionally, for those unable to donate physical eggs but still wish to contribute, there is a dedicated JustGiving page where monetary donations will be matched by the group and converted into Easter eggs.

Harrison’s Business Development Manager Nicola Halton added:

“This will be the third year now we have run this Easter Egg Appeal and each year it has got bigger and bigger. The last few years have been extremely hard for families across the region with the cost of living crisis.

“Both sites, Harrison’s Bar & Kitchen and Abbey Road Bar & Kitchen, are very socially aware and for anyone who would like to make a donation, please just call into one of the bars located on North John Street or Harrington Street. We would like to thank everyone who helps out as this is all about help and support for local kids at Easter.”

There’s also a GoFundMe you can donate to here.
