Liverpool’s rising dance stars to perform at Echo Arena

A show created to celebrate the next generation of homegrown performing arts talent is to begin a two-day residency at Echo Arena due to popular demand.

Over the past seven years Liverpool performing arts school, Rare Studio, has sold out shows – and even had multiple ticket waiting lists – at the likes of Everyman Theatre and The Black-E. Now, they are heading to The Auditorium at Echo Arena on 24/25 February with The Rare Winter Showcase: giving 1600 people an opportunity to witness what the next generation of Liverpool-grown talent is made of with an eclectic two nights of acting, dance, music and musical theatre.

The city centre performing arts school is responsible for putting Liverpool on the map by training thousands of the UK’s finest rising stars, including Mia Carragher, to achieve their dreams by performing to national and international audiences. Young people from across the country flock to Rare Studio for an opportunity to be taught by the industry’s finest mentors and their hard work is rewarded with so many graduates and students now performing on world-class stages. Previous showcases have featured performers who work now globally with artists such as Rita Ora, Zara Larsson and Robbie Williams as well as on television favourites MTV, X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing.

The showcase is a unique opportunity to get the inside scoop on who may be next to breakthrough into the world of entertainment and have a chance to witness firsthand the emerging talent on our city’s doorstep.

Lindsay Inglesby, director at Rare Studio, said:

“We couldn’t be happier to be hosting The Rare Winter Showcase at Echo Arena. This is a massive moment for us as it’s the exact place where we held our first auditions back in 2011 – and now, seven years on, we’re hosting a two-day show residency. Every year, the demand for the tickets exceeds availability and to move to the biggest venue in the city is a natural next step.

“Liverpool is producing next-level talent that is truly representing Liverpool on an international scale. We’re really committed to making sure our city’s talent is given a platform to shine. There’s no place like Liverpool, and we’re so proud to have a part in showcasing what our young people are made of. We know this city is famous for getting behind its own so we’re excited at the thought of local people seeing the dancers, singer-songwriters, actors and musicians that will be performing on the night.”

Tickets and further information are available online at Echo Arena.  To find out more and keep up with the latest Rare Studio news, visit their website.
