Look at the new ‘Colourful Collage’ exhibition at the Metropolitan Cathedral

Local charity Autism Together this week opens an exciting and colourful exhibition of artworks made by the people they support.

Located within Liverpool’s Metropolitan Cathedral and titled ‘Texture & Colour’, it is a showcase of collage and multi-textured art, which runs throughout August.

Rachael Kirkham, Creative Arts Activity Manager for Autism Together, said:

“Our exhibition is a celebration of the superb art created by the people we support, specifically relating to collage, textures and colours.

“The sensory nature of the work definitely appeals to our artists and they seem to really enjoy creating these pieces.

“We’re thrilled we can share it with the public in such a beautiful space.”

On display at the famous cathedral, fondly known locally as ‘Paddy’s Wigwam’, on Mount Pleasant in Liverpool city centre, the exhibition is now open and runs until Saturday, August 31st.

Admission is free and visitors can see the exhibition, which will be located in the West Apse, anytime during cathedral opening hours, 8am-6pm.

For more information about getting to the exhibition, head the cathedral’s website here.
