Meet Liverpool’s own Doctor Diane from celebrity clinic ESHO.MD inside Flannels

As an expert in aesthetic medicine and non-surgical procedures, Tijion Esho, has made numerous TV appearances on programmes like Body Fixers and This Morning.

And now the award-winning celebrity doctor – dubbed King of Lips – is bringing his expertise to Liverpool.

Dr Esho, who has a client list including some of the biggest names in film, fashion, and beauty, has chosen the city to launch his third clinic on the fifth floor of Flannels’ flagship centre in Parker Street; and its medical lead is Allerton-born Dr Diane Lyon.

Diane, who trained at Liverpool University and has worked in hospitals across the North-West and still works as a GP, understands that ‘Liverpool people like to look after themselves’.

At Esho MD, she says, they will get the best treatment possible.

The clinic specialises in non-surgical aesthetic, correctional, and facial rejuvenation treatments, with an extensive range that includes laser treatments, fillers, and hi-tech digital skin-scanning.

Diane says: “What makes our clinic completely different to others is that all injectable treatments are performed by doctors. We do have very advanced therapists who work with us to provide a lot of the laser treatments and in-house skin care, making the digital skin care assessments and advising us.

“But every clinic is doctor-led and Dr Esho is always around for support, as well as performing treatments at all of his destination clinics.”

That makes a huge difference, says Diane, 30: “We need to get the term medical aesthetics, medical cosmetics, and medical injectables out there. These are medical treatments.

“It’s an injection, something going into our bodies, so I look at my clients as patients like they are in the NHS, and they need to feel 100% safe and secure in the decisions they have made and in the ethics of the person who is treating them.

“Yes, it’s a business, but as medical doctors we see the patient first.”

All procedures are performed to the highest standards, bringing the expertise and learning of practitioners to the fore, and treatments are offered with premium products and brands.

Diane adds: “Understandably, at a time of a cost-of-living crisis, it may seem like a good idea to get a bargain lip filler alongside your eye-lash extensions, but these cheap treatments could cost you significantly in the long run.”

And she says although complications are rare, if they do happen, unlike in some other clinics, she and her trained colleagues are able to deal with them promptly and properly.

Everyone who attends Esho MD has a full consultation and is assessed as a whole, before being advised on treatment.

Standout treatments at Esho MD include:

  • Highest quality Alma lasers, used for face and body treatments including skin rejuvenation, thread vein treatment and tattoo removal.
  • Medical injectables including dermal fillers and Botox, for both treatment and correction.
  • Dr Esho’s Skin Lab – a subscription service he calls ‘gym membership for your skin’ which allows clients to have one enhanced treatment every month for a year to ensure optimum skin health.
  • A digital skin-scanning service that provides information on the deepest dermal layers to create the fullest picture and a tailored treatment plan.

“Being in the centre of town means that we are accessible,” says Diane. “But we are in the corner of the wellness floor too, so if anyone wants to slip in without being noticed, they can.

“And we have a relaxing room where people – providing they’re not having injectables – can relax, perhaps while any redness goes down, and even treat themselves to a glass of Champagne.”
