Metquarter to host fashion pop-up as Couture Collective brings 26 local brands together
Metquarter

Metquarter, home to some of the most loved independent brands across the city, will host an incredible fashion-based pop up event as Couture Collective opens its doors in the centre for three days this weekend.

Applications have been open throughout August for fashion-based traders across Liverpool and Merseyside to participate in this exciting event and local brand owners and Couture Collective founders Bethan Flannagan (Buy By Bethan) and Nia Minnery (Woven By Nia Rose) have now announced the 26 lucky participants.

With a wide variety on offer from crystals, permanent jewellery and upcycled denim jackets to crochet fashion pieces and unique hats and fascinators, the pop up will showcase the best of independent fashion and crafts that Liverpool has to offer.

Each trader has been carefully selected by Bethan and Nia and amongst them are Desti Collective, a slow fashion brand who pride themselves on high quality pieces, The Charm Gal, a permanent jewellery brand based in Liverpool which offers custom pieces including bracelets and rings which fit seamlessly using welding and can then be customised with charms. This is the perfect opportunity to get a matching piece of jewellery with that special someone in your life as a permanent reminder.

Also amongst those in attendance at the pop up will be Cloverlea Crystals who are hosting pop in workshops across the weekend where attendees can create their own phone charm or bracelets for those wanting to get creative- no booking needed. For anyone heading away for some winter sun, Bohemia Love has a stunning collection of Bohemian fashion accessories inspired by the beach. Music lovers will need to check out Annie’s Art, a range of upcycled denim jackets hand painted with the likes of Dolly Parton, Taylor Swift, David Bowie, Prince and Sabrina Carpenter. Those with an interest in tarot will be able to visit The Weirdo Tarot, a collection of tarot themed fashion accessories set up by Anna Doyle after she discovered the power of tarot while travelling across China.

Other traders who will be at the pop up include; Peonies and Cream, The Freak Factory, Yarn Over, Sandra Hepworth, J Simpson Millinery, Sowove, Groovy Chic Clothing, Factory Floor Jewels, Shameless Originals, Crown and Tartan, Cathy Neale Designs, Ginger Magpie, Roslyn Studio, Black Out Productions, School of Create, Rouge Couture and Xtsy World.

Whether you’re ready to start the Christmas shopping early or want a new Autumn wardrobe, get yourself down to Metquarter for the Couture Collective pop up, the must be place for fashion lovers.
