Registration is now open for the Cancer Research Shine Night Walk Liverpool
5 years ago
The Shine Night Walk is an event like no other. The countdown is on to light up the city for Cancer Research UK.
Cancer Research UK invites you to enjoy a totally unique Saturday night out in Liverpool as the Shine Night Walk returns this summer. Raising vital funds for research into all kinds of cancer, this 10k walking challenge is a great way to get together with family and friends and do something that could actually save lives.
One in two people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer at some stage in their lives, but the good news is more people are surviving the disease now than ever before. Cancer survival in the UK has doubled since the early 1970’s and Cancer Research UKās work has been at the heart of that progress.
You can play a pivotal role in ensuring more people beat cancer. Taking part in the Shine Night Walk with headline sponsor Ryvita, gives participants an opportunity to support or remember a loved one in a truly unique way, by lighting up the city!
Starting and finishing at Exhibition Centre Liverpool, the 10k walking event will see people of all ages and abilities uniting through light to raise money for life-saving research.Ā People are invited to sign up now and choose to raise money for the area of cancer research closest to their hearts – participants can actually choose a specific type of cancer they’d like to fund-raise for.
Participants will receive a fundraising pack with their walking number, Shine t-shirt and all-important back sign, to let others know why they’re taking on the challenge. You can also get fundraising ideas, training guidance and advice on the Shine Night Walk website shinewalk.org.
