Of all the holiday traditions, getting together with friends and family to watch a Christmas list is high on everyone’s list of favourites.
This year, there’s a feast of festive films in Liverpool to see, and you can check them out in style in some of the city’s most loved venues.
Here are seven places you and the crew can enjoy some Christmas classics.
The Philharmonic
Christmas doesn’t get better than watching magical movies at the phenomenal Phil.
Especially when you get to see Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone as The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra perform the iconic score.
As is tradition, there’ll also be screenings of The Muppet Christmas Carol and It’s A Wonderful Life.

Luna Cinema
Luna Cinema is back at the Town Hall with five indoor festive screenings.
Expect all the classics like Elf and Love Actually – both celebrating 20 years since being released – as well as Love Actually, The Holiday, Frozen Singalong and The Grinch.
So sit back and snuggle up in the surroundings of one of Liverpool’s most iconic buildings.
Oh, Home Alone is on too. We forgot Kevin!
M&S Bank Arena
Arguably the most quotable Christmas film of all time, Home Alone is always a festive must-watch.
But we bet you’ve never seen it on a giant HD screen with a live orchestra performing the score. Well that’s precisely what M&S Bank Arena has in store for you this year.
Home Alone Live in Concert on Friday Dec 15th for one night only.

Duke St Market
While the family screenings of Home Alone and Arthur Christmas at Duke Street Market will be well worth checking out, it’s the showing of ‘The Holiday’ on Tuesday December 12th that has got us all excited.
Your ticket price includes a welcome festive cocktails, a delicious dinner and a sweet treat.
At only £35 per person, it’s a gift for you and your other half. Info and tickets this way.
The Snowman at Liverpool Cathedral
The true spirit of Christmas is surely found at Liverpool Christmas.
And we can’t think of a better place than to watch the animated classics The Snowman and Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers.
A live orchestra will accompany both films on Friday December 22nd, and make this Christmas the most memorable yet.
There’ll even be a visit from the Snowman himself. Book here.
Liverpool Empire
Check out a Disney Christmas classic at one of Liverpool’s iconic theatres.
Disney’s Muppet Christmas classic will be presented live in concert this winter, with its musical score performed live to the film. Kermit the Frog is Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine), Miss Piggy is Emily Cratchit, and Gonzo is Dickens, narrating the classic holiday tale. It’s on Tuesday, November 28.
