Speke Hall is a brilliant place to visit with the whole family all year round, but at Easter it’s eggs-tra special!
So, if you’re looking for fun ways to get together and spend a day outdoors – especially if the kids are off on a break from school – here are 5 reasons to go to Speke Hall this Easter …
Hop along to the Easter Trail

Make family memories and celebrate the arrival of spring by joining the Easter Trail. It’s on every day from Saturday March 28 to Sunday April 12, between 11am and 4pm. Just pick up trail map from the Visitor Reception Building and follow the trail that takes you across the gardens and grounds. Along the way you’ll all be able to join in themed family-friendly activities. It costs £3.50 to take part (normal admission fee applies) and there’s no need to book so you can decide on the day and time that suits you best.
Collect your chocolate reward!

It’s a nice easy trail to complete, but that doesn’t mean you don’t deserve a reward for getting to the end. Head over to Bunnies’ Burrow where you can collect a chocolate treat – either a chocolate egg or a vegan and Free From chocolate egg, both made using Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa.
Kids can run off some energy in the woodland play area

If your children are full of beans (as well as chocolate!), they’ll have a fantastic time in the woodland play area where they can run, climb and test their balancing skills on the wobbly wooden and chain bridge before zooming along the 30-foot zip wire. They’ll also be able to wander through the hedge maze and try to find hidden eggs.
Everyone can have fun getting out into nature

Speke Hall is a green oasis in Liverpool and at this time of year, its gardens and grounds come to life. It’s the perfect spot to take a breather, see the spring greenery, spot the birds, and maybe even have a picnic. There’s a sensory station in the visitor reception building where you can borrow ear defenders, fidget toys and other sensory resources free during your visit.
Enjoy tasty Easter treats

If you fancy a bite to eat, Home Farm Restaurant and Stable Tea Room have tasty hot food, snacks, cakes, ice cream and drinks on the menu, and this Easter there’ll be extra themed treats including nest cakes and simnel scones of the month.
