The Mysterines are gearing up to hit the stage at Jacaranda Baltic as part of their Record Store Tour on June 19, 2024.
The Mysterines, from Merseyside, are on the brink of releasing their highly anticipated second album, ‘Afraid of Tomorrows’, the much-awaited follow-up to their critically acclaimed Top 10 debut, ‘Reeling’.
Originally slated for release on June 21, via Fiction Records, ‘Afraid of Tomorrows’ will delve into deeper and darker territories within The Mysterines’ psyche, reflecting the band’s maturity and growth.
Lead vocalist Lia Metcalfe said:
“Afraid of Tomorrows is a mirror where you find you’re nothing more than a formless being, one made from celestial constellations – of traumas, of the old and new, mistakes, addiction, fear and happiness, loneliness, but ultimately a desire for life and the fight to keep living. It’s a collage of what’s been lost and of love unbounded.”
In anticipation of the album’s release, The Mysterines have treated fans to the lead single ‘Stray’, which premiered on BBC Radio 1 as Clara Amfo’s Hottest Record, along with their latest single ‘Sink Ya Teeth’.
The band is set to embark on a record store tour across the UK this June stopping at Liverpool on June 19 to perform at Jacaranda Baltic.
Having recently toured the UK as main support for Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and announced as special guests for Bloc Party’s 20th anniversary Crystal Palace Park show on July 7, The Mysterines are riding high on anticipation and excitement.
The band is ready to unleash their electric live performances at festivals across Europe and the UK this summer, including Live at Leeds in the Park, 2000 Trees, Truck Festival, and Tramlines. Their largest headline tour to date, spanning Europe and the UK, is scheduled for this Autumn, ending with a performance at Liverpool’s Olympia.
Don’t miss the chance to catch The Mysterines live at Jacaranda Baltic on June 19.
