We’re all getting eggs-cited about Easter and there’s loads going on to keep everyone busy and entertained during the special spring holiday.

Liverpool ONE will host a Shaun the Sheep augmented reality trail from 4 April – 5 May, marking the beloved character’s 30th anniversary.

The Shaun the Sheep: Fun with the Flock AR Trail will take visitors on a free adventure across Liverpool ONE as they unlock interactive Shaun the Sheep animations and fun surprises on their phones.

Strawberry Field

Easter at Strawberry Field

Visit Strawberry Field this Easter to enjoy a range of experiences. Throughout the Easter holidays don’t miss out on a visit to the Strawberry Field visitor exhibition and garden tour from 10am to 4pm, where you can delve into the history of the children’s home and John Lennon’s connection to the place where he played as a child. Children go free!

Join in a series of spiritual activities throughout Holy Week. From April 14th to 21st, explore an Easter trail walk and children’s Easter trail walk in the garden, prompting sacred moments of discovery and reflection amid the garden’s natural beauty. Engage in a labyrinth walk on April 16th for a guided journey of contemplation with Karen from the Fresh Expression team.

On Good Friday, April 18th, join Strawberry Field for the ‘Service of Shadows’ at 4pm in the visitor attraction, a candlelit moment of solemn reflection. Celebrate Easter Sunday with prayer at 8am by the gates in the famous garden, followed by its community church service from 10:30am to 11:30am. Then, savour a special Easter Sunday lunch from 12pm to 3pm at the award-winning Imagine More café – booking required.

Join John Lewis in-store for an Easter craft class, where your little one can get creative and personalise a decoration that can be hung in the home or on your Easter tree.

This workshop is designed for children aged 3+ with adult supervision.

Not an egg pun in sight this year for Frederiks’ Easter offering, however they do have a treat for you with four days packed full’a soul.

With two back-to-back Bank Holidays, Hope Street Jazz Soul Session kicks off the weekend on Thurs 17 followed by live music at The Secret Improvisors Club on Friday 18 and DJ GloryTo spinning hit after hit of pure liquid gold on the night of Saturday 19. Entry is free to all three nights. 

There’s a special 3-course family roast on Easter Sunday, gliding into a night of deep cuts and dance floor anthems, as vocalist Daisy Gill (BBC’s The Voice) returns to Fred’s, guesting for SoulDays with DJ sets by GloryTo, who’ll be selecting rare funk, groove, and disco tracks to keep you moving all night long. The Watering Can Fish and Chips

The Watering Can is making sure that this Good Friday is a memorable one with a special menu of Fizz ‘n’ Chips.  They will be serving fresh Atlantic haddock in a light crispy beer batter, with triple cooked chunky chips, minted mushy peas, home-made tartare sauce, a juicy lemon wedge and a glass of Rose Il Gaggio.

If you are looking for a lighter bite The Watering Can’s all-time top selling ‘Posh Fish Finger Sandwich’ is also available.  IPA Beer Battered Coley Goujons, lettuce, home-made tartare sauce served on a toasted brioche.  Add a glass of ‘fizz’ to elevate the popular dish and enjoy the best Fizz and Fish Finger Sandwich around.

Also on the menu as sides on Friday will be The Watering Can’s Chip Shop Curry Sauce,   and the finest homemade brioche barms, so that the chip butty lovers have everything they need for the perfect Good Friday treat.

This Easter half-term, join the Albert Dock on their Bunny Tail Trail to track down the Easter Bunny and be in with the chance of winning a spectacular prize that the whole family can enjoy.

Gran Caffe - Easter Eggs

Every year, Antonietta, based in the Italian Quarter, creates handmade Easter Eggs that are a thing of beauty! And this year, the team have outdone themselves with a Dubai Chocolate Easter Egg! It’s Liverpool’s only version; a luxury milk chocolate egg with a pistachio cream and kataifi filling. It’s £40.

As well as this, Antonietta and her talented team will be creating Nocciolato Easter Eggs, a luxury milk chocolate egg with hazelnut for £36, traditional milk and dark chocolate eggs for £32 and themed handcrafted eggs for £36 (hand decorated).

Traditional Italian cakes are also available to order including Colomba, both classic (£30)  or pistachio (£38) and Pastiera, a traditional handmade Italian Easter Cake made with shortcrust pastry filled with cooked wheat, sweet ricotta and delicious diced candied fruit. Traditional is £23 and pistachio is £26.

Sensation has a huge Easter Sunday in store. Open from the afternoon (2pm), with golden shimmer cocktails and chocolate espresso martinis, Liverpool’s best rooftop bar will have its amazing resident DJs on from the afternoon playing the best house and R&B music into the early hours, as well as £5 glasses of prosecco and certain cocktails on 2 for £12 all evening!
