This is Liverpool’s Halloween 13 – The best of the scares coming your way

Get spooked this October with the very best local scare attractions and Halloween nights out.

We’re in full Halloween mode here at The Guide Liverpool and as Jay narrowly escaped from HorrorCon at the Exhibition Centre last weekend, we’re lining up even more frights and delights to get your scare on across Liverpool this Halloween.

Friday 13th is surrounded with misfortune, superstition and bad luck, which apparently comes in 3’s, but we’re going to be far too busy having fun to be bothered with all that! From a bigger and better Farmaggedon to a grizzly murder mystery in Wonderland and a Hollywood thriller at The Phil, there’s something for every horror fan this October.

Feeling brave? Here’s the best of Liverpool Halloween on Friday 13…..

1 – Wonderland, Camp & Furnace

There’s a gruesome murder mystery to unravel at Camp & Furnace this Halloween, tumble down the rabbit hole and catch the Wonderland killer, before he catches you! More here.

2 – Farmaggedon, Ormskirk

Back for its 10th anniversary, Farmaggedon is bigger, better and more sh*t-your-pants scary than every before. New attractions including Freak Street, improved paintball and more menacing monsters. Booking here.

3 – The Limehouse Golem, Philharmonic Hall

Maybe you prefer your horror hit on the big screen? The Philharmonic, Hope Street is showing Hollywood thriller, The Limehouse Golem, starring Bill Nighy, on 31st October, watch out for The Golem! Tickets and info here.

4 – Ghoulies Haunted House, Dale Street

Fancy being chased down dark corridors on Dale Street? Might just be a normal day in the business district for some but we reckon Ghoulies Haunted House will out the frightners on your. Find out more here.

5 – Chamber of Terror, Aintree

Test your nerve at Liverpool’s newest horror maze, The Chamber of Terror, Aintree this October as this live actor, walk through scare-fest invites you to try and escape. Click here to find out more and book. 

6 – Rocky Horror Show, The Lodge, Liverpool One

Have you seen The Club House pop up cinema venue, The Lodge? The perfect venue to settle down in the dark for a special screening of The Rocky Horror Show….the film munchies are to die for too! Find out more here. 

7 – Shiverpool Halloween Tour, City Centre

What better time to discover the creepy side of our city’s past than with a Shiverpool Tour on Halloween. Walk the city streets, meet its infamous inhabitants and how they met their frightful end! Book here. 

8 – Chamber of Horror, St George’s Hall

The Chamber of Horrors is back at St George’s Hall to plague Liverpool with another harrowing flight-night spectacular from 24th to 31st October. Suspense, chills down your spine and goosebumps guaranteed.

9 – Asylum at Newsham Park

We’re genuinely still reeling from our tour of the former Asylum at Newsham Park and if you’re into proper scary tales and wandering around empty buildings in the dead of night, this is the one for you. Click here for tour bookings and info.

10 – Shoot ‘Em Ups and Slashings at VR-Here

We’re not all terrified of our own shadows! If you fancy a go at beating the sh*t out of some zombies and skeletons and fancy your chances of being the last one standing, check out VR-Here and be a Halloween hero! More info here.

11 – Nightmare on Stanhope Street, Baltic Market

There’s something for hungry horror fans of all ages at Baltic Market during the Halloween weekend. Maybe give the brains a miss and instead tuck into terrifyingly tasty street food, cocktails and family fun instead. All the details here.

12 – Voodoo Ball, Invisible Wind Factory

Continuing the Voodoo battle from last year, the Punks are back in control and ready to defend the peace and tranquillity they fought so hard for last Halloween. Check out the line up and get tix here.

13 – Wake the Dead Halloween Parade, Bold Street

See (and hear) the Katumba drummers like never before as they wind their way through the city centre and wake the dead with a Halloween Parade. Get a good spot before it all kicks off at 8pm on Bold Street. Info here.
