WATCH: Top tips for refreshing your home decor with the new ANYDAY range from John Lewis

If spending extra hours at home over the past year has left you desperate to change things up then now’s the perfect time to give your rooms a refresh for less.
Décor trends are changing constantly, so just a few carefully-chosen additions can give a room a totally new look.
It doesn’t need to be an investment piece like a sofa or bed, just some soft furnishings, lighting or maybe a print or two for a bare wall can give you a budget transformation.
John Lewis’s ANYDAY range brings together those key room-enhancing items with all the quality you’d expect but at a really affordable price.
And if you’re looking for some inspiration, John Lewis Liverpool has a team of interior design experts ready to offer you free advice and ideas to help you decide, whether you’re a first time buyer, renter or looking to makeover the space at your family home.
“Our homes are places we want to show off, relax, workout or work and we’ve definitely seen a trend where customers are more invested in little tweaks rather than a major makeover,” says John Lewis marketing executive Lora Johnson.
“We need our spaces to be a lot more flexible now because the way we spend time in our homes has changed and customers are definitely more focused on being able to swap things around by using accessories to give a room a little lift.
“Even adding storage or cushions can give you that sense of a change of scene which I think we’re all really looking for at the moment.”
Lora says John Lewis’s ANYDAY range has been created in response to customer trends towards more regular updates of smaller affordable pieces that can be simply brought in then taken out.
“Customers trust John Lewis for quality, they know they’ll get that from us, but they also want us to be adaptable,” she explains. “That’s why the ANYDAY range is competitively priced with no compromise on quality, or the sustainability and ethical standards from our supply chain.”
Once you’ve decided your home could do with a refresh, the next step is making sure you spend your budget wisely.
That’s where John Lewis Liverpool’s home design stylist team comes in. Based on the second floor of the Liverpool ONE store, it’s there to offer tips for transforming rooms easily but effectively.
There are three different types of advice sessions, all free and with no obligation to buy.
A new 45-minute one, Refresh for Less, gives instant style advice about making little changes rather than larger permanent ones.
Style Advice can help you pull together a scheme for a room and the more in-depth Design Consultation can create an interior scheme with a mood board for larger projects.
The team’s services are available in-store or online, or a mix of both.
“You could have a virtual consultation first to show the stylist your space, you might prefer to have that face-to-face contact so you get to feel all the fabrics, or you could choose a hybrid of both. The change and the choice are up to you.”
