Calling all foodies! You can now vote for your favourite Liverpool scran.

People across Merseyside are being encouraged to vote for their favourite local restaurants, bars and producers as the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival Awards return for the 10th consecutive year.

The prestigious awards, which form part of Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, were created to recognise talent and flair in the city’s food and drink scene. The annual awards have become a greatly anticipated event on the city’s food and drink calendar and the winners will be announced at a glitzy awards ceremony at Alma de Cuba on 26th September.

The public have until 21st September to cast their votes online.

Isabella Kantor, Festival Manager at Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, said: “The city’s food and drink scene is booming and these awards are designed to highlight the talent and dedication of the people who are leading the way. When it comes to the best local bars and restaurants, most of us like to have our say and these awards give people a chance to make sure their favourites are recognised. I would encourage anyone who enjoys eating out in our fabulous city to get voting.”

The awards follow on from Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, which returns to Sefton Park on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September, you can watch the 2016 festival cam footage above. During the weekend festival, the Hairy Bikers, Simon Rimmer, Nisha Katona, Paul Askew, Gary Usher and Aiden Byrne will join local chefs for a giant celebration of the city’s impressive food and drink scene.

Visitors will have the chance to indulge in tasty treats prepared by top TV chefs, as well as talented local chefs and producers, as they eat and drink their way around the pop-up food festival.
