Advertorial
One of Liverpoolâs oldest and best-loved breweries has taken off the towels for a long-awaited revival.
Cains Brewery is back in business!
âItâs been in the pipeline for a long time and weâre delighted to say itâs finally happened,â says Andrew Mikhail, owner of the Mikhail Hotel and Leisure Group. âIt was founded by Robert Cain in 1858 so thereâs a lot of history and heritage attached to Cains for the city.
âThe beer they call âLiverpool in a pintâ has been missed since it disappeared from bars almost 10 years ago, and I feel incredibly proud to be bringing this iconic brewery back to life.
âItâll be part of the growing Cains Brewery Village that will attract people into the city for all the right reasons.
âAnd itâs going to be magical.â
Cains Brewery was recently relaunched with a VIP bash, when the button was pressed on the start of the new brewing process before being opened to the public.
It was a chance to welcome the reappearance of the famous local beer, and to celebrate another new venue in the landmark Stanhope Street building alongside Mikhail Groupâs already popular Punch Tarmeyâs and Arcains.
Cains will have four bars set across three floors right where the original ale was brewed. Thereâll be a huge glass viewing wall so people can see the brewing process and, as well as Cains – the first pints will be ready about four weeks after the launch – thereâll be a selection of craft ales carefully curated under the watchful eye of expert manager and head brewer Andy Hayes, and a menu of hop cocktails – or âhoptailsâ!
Brewery tours are set to be introduced, and thereâll be private tap rooms to hire where people can have their own keg and pull their own pints.
Families will be encouraged during the daytime and thereâll be daily food menus, while itâll become another key night-time venue for Liverpool with regular live acoustic music.
