What’s on this week in Liverpool 7th – 13th October 2019

October gets into full swing and we’ve got all the best events and activities for this week in Liverpool.


We’re not quite ready to put the heating on this week in Liverpool. With a whole host of great events, club nights, freebies, family fun, art, theatre and music to come – break out the black tights, wrap up warm and plan a fab lunch, drinks, or evening at the theatre with out round up of events.


Here’s what’s on this week in Liverpool 7th – 13th October 2019…

Monday 7th October

Taki Katei’s Japan, World Museum

The first ever exhibition outside Japan of artist Taki Katei’s drawings has opened at World Museum Liverpool. Drawing on Nature brings to life rare and exquisite pieces that were once displayed in the Imperial court. Take a wander and discover something new. Tickets and info here. 

Lunch at Peaberry Coffee House, Royal Albert Dock

There’s a hearty, warming lunch dish for all dietary needs on offer at Peaberry Coffee House & Kitchen this week. After a brisk walk around the Dock, why not treat yourself to a black pudding and ham hash, baked eggs, curried pork samosas or a good old fashioned fish finger butty! Check out the menus here. 

Tequila Monday’s, Free Donuts at Modo

Concert Square will be buzzing on Monday night as Tequila returns to Modo with free Krispy Kremes – I mean what more could you want in a night out in town? Loads of drinks deals, the biggest beats and all the naughty behaviour. Info here. 

 


Tuesday 8th October

Free Cereal Day, Tiny Rick’s, Smithdown

It’s free cereal day at Tiny Rick’s on Smithdown! To welcome students to and back to the city – or basically anyone who loves a good bowl of the crunchy stuff – get to Rick’s from 2pm and tuck into a free bowl of domestic cereal with ice cold milk – a winning combo that isn’t it? More info here. 

Double Fantasy, Museum of Liverpool

The incredible exhibition which details the union of John Lennon and Yoko Ono is due to close in a matter of weeks and if you haven’t seen it – you’re seriously missing out. The man, the music and the woman he loved – all laid out in beautiful detail at the Museum of Liverpool. Runs until 3rd November so don’t miss your chance to see it! More info here. 

New Menu at Las Iguanas, Liverpool ONE

There’s 15 brand new dishes on the autumn menu at Las Iguanas to try out this month. Add a little Argentinian heat to your lunch or dinner and check out the Pork Pibil Tacos, Winter Ceviche and Fiesta Ensalada. There’s new tapas, small plates and cocktails on offer too. More here.

Wednesday 9th October

Les Miserables, Liverpool Empire

Seen by over 120 million people world wide, Liverpool Empire plays host to the incredible Les Miserables from Wednesday this week. Set in 19th century France this tale of unrequited love, broken dreams and redemption will be one you’ll never forget. Tickets here. 

Yoga at the Palm House, Sefton Park

Take an hour to breathe among the plants and trees in the city’s most relaxing space. The Palm House Sefton Park runs regular yoga sessions on Wednesday mornings from 9:30am. Take your own mat along and enjoy a relaxing flow class. Info here. 

Cheese & Gin Tasting, Birkenhead

Support Wirral Ark by getting your tickets to the Cheese and Gin Tasting night at The Talbot in Birkenhead on Friday night from 7pm. Sounds pretty tasty to us. Tickets and info here. 


Thursday 10th October

Gossip Girl Quiz, Camp & Furnace

Oh hey the Upper East Side! Dan the massive snitch, Serena, Blair, Chuck and the gang get the Camp & Furnace quiz night treatment on Thursday night from 6pm. Remember when Chuck launched his dad off the roof and Serena got off on horse back from the Hamptons? Good times. Tickets here. XOXO.

Achy Breaky Bride, Epstein Theatre

Our very own Mersey Mouth Lindzi Germain joins Radio City’s Leanne Campbell in Achy Breaky Bride at the fabulous Epstein Theatre this week. It’s never a dull day in Dolly’s Dream Dresses, Liverpool’s boutique Bridal shop run by A Boy Named Sue and his sister Jolene. Tickets here.

Static Bar & Mellowtone Pub Quiz

Smithdown Road Festival All Dayer

Smithdown Road Festival is back for a one day special at Craft Taproom from 11am on Saturday. There’s a huge line up of live acts to check out including Eyesore & The Jinx, Little Triggers, Buffalo Riot and more. Find out more here. 

Roy Orbison & Buddy Holly, The Hologram UK Tour M&S Bank Arena

The Rock N Roll Tour of fans dreams comes to the M&S Bank Arena this Saturday. Using incredible hologram technology – you can experience legends Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison live on stage. Accompanied by a live bank and backing singers on stage, this is one to be seen to be believed. Tickets here.
