Winter is coming to Cain’s Brewery and it’s going to taste amazing!
Prepare to revisit your favourite summer hangout this winter as food and drink turns festive at Cain’s Brewery.
Now the summer is well and truly fading into memory, two of Liverpool’s pioneering and creative venues, both set within the grounds of the iconic Cain’s Brewery site in the Baltic Triangle, have revealed exciting plans which will lead Liverpool into Christmas and the new year.
Dockleaf and Kiosk are both stunning venues for very different reasons; each is set in a part of Liverpool’s rich history, placed in the grounds and actual main building of the immense and historic Cain’s Brewery. Yet they both have the same DNA, too, featuring a sumptuous range of food and drink in environments which further continue to enhance the city’s reputation as a destination for those seeking inspiration away from more conventional locations.
On Thursday November 9th, Kiosk Presents Bar Mont Blanc, an Alpine ski-lodge hideaway built over the outside terrace, which will bring intimate festive fun to the Cain’s Brewery. The cosy log cabin will feature an array of winter warming drinks, with particular emphasis on bespoke mulled wines, vintage French vermouths and traditional Xmas drinks given new leases of life. Hand-made food will include tasty waffles, pretzels and hot and hearty soup, all created to bring nourishment and comfort to the short days and long nights.
Less than 30 seconds walk away at Dockleaf, the beautiful venue is also looking ahead to Christmas. With its inspiration drawn from the original quality control room of the Cain’s Brewery in which it is set, the new menu of cocktails to be launched in November will once more feature a delicious and decadent range of unique concoctions created by the team.
With its ethos based around edification and enlightenment, and yes, plentiful drinking too, Dockleaf will also be running a series of workshops and hosted events in the coming weeks. From across the city, Turncoat Gin, the Liverpool Cheese Company, Holy Crab and more will be providing pop-up tasting sessions along with inspiring talks around their produce. There will also be ticketed events for wine and beer tasting evenings as well as cocktail and gin tasting menus across 6 or more courses. Forthcoming dates include:
1 – Thursday 9th November, Holy Crab Supper Club
The culinary guys will be serving 5 small plates including oysters for £32 per person (if you don’t eat oysters they will knock them off the price) For more info contact [email protected]
2 – Thursday 16th November, Laura’s Little Bake Off
An evening of cake, cocktails and competition. Taste a series of cakes as bakers compete to win the title of best baker. There will also be a special baking-inspired drinks menu to help wash all of the cakes down. To get involved contact: [email protected]
3 – Tuesday 21st November, The Greenhouse Sessions
