Zeus Taverna to open for exclusive Christmas dining

Zeus Taverna opened its doors in April this year on the bustling foodie street that is Castle Street, in the heart of Liverpool City Centre.

Zeus Taverna opened its doors in April this year and has been bringing a taste of the sun-kissed Mediterranean to the region and the venue has seen rave reviews since opening its doors..

Promising a world inspired by the popular holiday island of Santorini, Zeus Taverna boasts textured whitewashed walls framed by turquoise blues creating the feel of a traditional Greek taverna, along with a menu of tapas and small plates with favourite dishes like souvlaki, moussaka and kleftiko, and appetisers such as tzatziki and dolmades.

The site has been a huge success since opening and is already in the top 50 restaurants in Liverpool on Tripadvisor. With this in mind the management have now decided to open on Christmas Day.

A spokesperson for Zeus Taverna said:

“We have been asked on so many occasions now about opening on Christmas Day so we have decided to open with 2 sitting time options. We will have 12:30-1pm sitting and the second sitting is 3:45-4pm. After a mezze option to start, such as Prawn Saganaki or Keftedes, there will be the option for a traditional roast dinner with a choice of turkey or beef and all the trimmings. For those not wanting this we have several other options from fillet steak to keleftiko – slow cooked lamb shoulder on the bone, in tomato and bordelaise sauce and mash. All finished off with a selection of deserts, including baklava.

This Christmas Day Menu is limited in size, with just two sittings.

“A lot of people now like to eat out on Christmas Day and let someone else worry about the cooking and the washing up and here at Zeus Taverna we want guests to have a day of great food with family and friends creating memories. This 3 course christmas day menu is priced at just £100 for adults and £50 for children under 10 years old.
