River of Light
River of Light is back, and for those not in the know it is an outdoor art gallery which will illuminate the waterfront. It showcases the work of local, national and international artists which residents can enjoy and experience as they follow the trail.

World Gymnastics
Liverpool is set to host the World Gymnastics Championships at the M&S Bank Arena. At the Olympic qualifying event, the world’s greatest gymnasts will show you what they’re made of, as athletes from all over the world go head-to-head over nine action-packed days.

Turner Prize
One of the best-known and often controversial visual art prizes in the world is coming to Tate Liverpool later this year.
The Turner Prize, which is hosted outside of London on alternate years, will be back in the city this October for the first time since 2007, when it was held here in the run-up to the Capital of Culture celebrations.
The prize is awarded by a jury of independent judges to a British born or based artist to recognise an exceptional exhibition or presentation of their work anywhere in the world.
When: exhibition launches on 20 October
Farmaggedon
Everyone’s favourite scare-fest is back! Transforming Farmer Ted’s farm into a devilishly frightening experience to spook you this scary season. Head into the scare mazes, take a ride on the Fear-Go-Round… or go and shoot down the living dead at the Zombie Annihilation.

How does a big night of beers and cheers sound!? Oktoberfest is back at Camp and Furnace, so it’s time to grab a stein and have a sing-a-long with the brilliant German Jukebox – Live! Bavarian Trestle Tables & Benches, food, loads of beer, and dressing-up is encouraged!

‘A Thousand Feet Deep’ – Stadt Moers Park, Knowsley
A Thousand Feet Deep by Periplum – will explore the history and spirit of the borough and its people, in a way that visitors will not have imagined. The 50-minute performance, which will take place on three consecutive evenings, will take visitors on an atmospheric journey exploring Knowsley’s myths and folklore. A unique narrative of the borough will unfold to tell the story of Knowsley’s industries and the people that powered them.

Midsummer Night’s Dream at Shakespeare
It’s all kicking off in the woods! Two warring fairies are willing to destroy the world after a barney over a little lad, and four chaotic kids are off on a drug induced love mission – Welcome to the party! Join Not Too Tame for a riotous ride through the forest at night, for a tale of wild weddings, mistaken identity and a staging of Shakespeare’s best known comedy where not everything is as rosy as it seems.
