We’re eyeing up a nice long Easter Bank Holiday – as well as the second week of the kids’ holidays – and for everyone who’s got time off the good news is there’s plenty going on.

Whatever team you support, there’s no question Bill Shankly was one of the greats of football and this play at the Royal Court is like an epic love letter to LFC’s legendary boss. Peter Mullan embodies Shankly, supported by a huge cast of 52 including Les Dennis in a must-see for fans. On until Saturday.

The Harlem Globetrotters have always brought a magical combination of sporting excellence and showbiz pzazz to basketball courts around the globe and the current squad is just as incredible when it comes to ball tricks and skills. They return to the Arena this Tuesday as part of a world tour.

Liverpool ONE’s Easter Party on Good Friday

If you’re looking for ways to keep the kids entertained, head to Liverpool ONE because there’s lots to get involved in including a free Easter Party on Good Friday from 12pm–5pm hosted by Leanne Campbell. Reviews for the National Theatre’s production of War Horse at the Empire have been absolutely phenomenal – the story, based on a novel by Michael Morpurgo, the set, the whole cast and especially the puppetry which brings animals alive on stage are mesmerising.
