It feels a bit weird not having the stress of the footy anymore, but in a good way, because it’s super-sunny so there’s no need to be in front of the telly.

Wild Shore returns to the Dock
If you fancy having some on-the-water fun with the family at the Albert Dock then Wild Shore’s got loads of it. There’s the amazing inflatable obstacle course to have a go on, or if you want something a bit less bouncy then you can try the stand-up paddle boards, mini boats or pedalos.
Pop-up food and drink vendors are going to be at Ainsdale Beach
All this gorgeous weather definitely says beach day, and there’s good news if you’re planning to head to Ainsdale this weekend because B-Eat On The Street will be there with a pop-up serving fish and chips (got to be done), crepes and waffles as well as coffees.
New Trails & Tails digital map experience at Calderstones Park
This is one for the family to do together – The Reader at Caldies has launched a new digital park map which you can download on your phone then go off exploring, scanning codes as you go to find out more about the sights on a literature or heritage trail.
Africa Oye is staging a special online festival
While we all wait to get back to in-person festivals, Africa Oye is having on an online one starting tonight at 7pm. It’ll be on Africa Oye’s Facebook and YouTube and will feature Rocky Dawuni, Elida Almeida and festival favourites Kasai Masai as well as DJ sets and archive highlights footage.
