Titanic
You’ll really make your mum feel special this Mother’s Day if you treat her to the perfect Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea or three-course Sunday Lunch at Stanley’s Bar & Grill at the Titanic Hotel Liverpool. Sunday Lunch costs £37.50 for adults and £18.50 for children under-12 and includes starters like whipped goat’s cheese and beer battered cod cheek and delicious mains like roast loin of pork and spinach and ricotta tortelloni. Afternoon tea starts from £25 but you can add a glass of prosecco or a glass of champagne – and you could even book you and your mum in for Time for Two with massage luxury at its Maya Blue Wellness spa for £160 for two.

Your mum will have the time of her life at Lu Ban this year with a Mother’s Day Dirty Dancing Bottomless Brunch. You can rely on chef patron Paul Askew to serve a Special Mother’s Day Lunch at his Art School restaurant in Sugnall Street. For £59 per head (£25 for 12 and under) The Mother’s Day Celebration includes a glass of Aienera Methode de Champenoise, Castorani N.V to toast mum on arrival (with Mrs Kirkham’s mature Lancashire cheese scones and shallot jam, charcuterie and olives), an amuse bouche and a fantastic three-course menu with starters including fillet of Peterhead halibut with compressed cucumbers, ‘monk’s beard’, capers and beurre blanc, and mains like hay-roast rump of Cumbrian Herdwick lamb with crushed Jersey Royal potatoes and spring greens.

Sunday lunch at the Smithdown Road Restaurant that’s just made it into the Michelin Guide? Don’t mind if I do. It costs £30 for two-courses and £36 for three-courses, and starters include chicken butterbean broth, with pickled celery and creme fraiche, and salt baked beetroots, with romesco and honey, and mains range from Dickey’s roast corn-fed chicken to salt-aged porchetta, served with roast potatoes, crushed carrot & swede, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, seasonal greens, and gravy.

The Watering Can
Set among the beautiful surroundings of Greenbank Park, The Watering Can offers everything to make Mother’s Day magical and memorable. The exquisite Mother’s Day four-course menu costs £40 per person with pan fried scallops with their coral, sweetcorn puree, charred sweetcorn with njuda butter, and lamb rump, pommes mousseline, green vegetable medley with mint butter, and red wine jus among the mouth-watering dishes (and did we mention desserts like Keith’s boozy sherry trifle?) For £35 per person, guests will receive unlimited prosecco, unlimited cocktails with three different drinks to choose from, as well as unlimited house vodka and gin for 90 minutes. Co.Co.’s has also organised live music and DJs throughout the evening, and there are three different time slots for guests to book (3-4.30pm, 5-6.30pm and 7-8.30pm). Co.Co.’s Mother’s Day Brunch Ball is a ticketed only event, so no walk-ins on this day.
