With summer in full swing, we’ve got your August social calendar sorted.
From club nights to garden parties, family fun and a chance for students to let their hair down, Liverpool truly comes alive in August. With the warm weather set to continue, we’re making the most of it with rooftop parties, film screenings, BBQ’s and more. We’ve got giant beaches, high octane drama on the waterfront and enough Gin to sink a ship! Get your factor 50 on and get ready to make some memories.
Here’s 31 things to do in Liverpool in August…..
1 – Down to Funk, Kazimier Gardens
We’re kicking off our summer in Liverpool with a massive party at Rat Alley, Kazimier Gardens, the scene of many a summer night story, and you should see the line up of DJ’s and live music. It’s free entry before 11 and a fiver on the door after that. More details here.
2 – Beavertown Roof Party, HUS
There’s a summer of love ahead at HUS Rooftop starting with the Beavertown Roof Party on 5th August. Loads of beers, juicy burgers and a kick ass view of our city! More here.
3 – Rum & Reggae Festival, Olympia

4 – Charlotte Tilbury Masterclass, Gusto

5 – Minton Tiles Revealed, St George’s Hall
You’ve another chance to see the stunning Great Hall Minton Tile floor in all it’s glory at St George’s Hall from 3rd til 12th August. It’s just £3 on the door to go take a peak.
6 – Folk on the Dock, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool
Folk on the Dock returns with a wealth of live music across multiple stages at the Albert Dock on 25th-27th August for some bank holiday weekend fun. See the line up here.
7 – Tainted Love Ultimate 80s Party, Camp & Furnace
There’s bank holiday weekend music fun with Tained Love’s Ultimate 80’s party at Camp & Furnace on 25th August. Expect Bowie, Madge, The Police, Jacko and more. Info here.
8 – International Beatleweek 2018
The World Famous celebration of the Fab Four, International Beatleweek kicks off on 22nd – 28th August and brings 70 of the finest Beatles tribute acts together to mark 50 years since The White Album! All the info and line up here.
9 – Roy Chubby Brown, Liverpool Empire
Roy Chubby Brown is bringing his unique, scandalous humour back to Liverpool on 12th August and you can bet it’ll be packed with a fresh supply of politically incorrect, blue jokes!
10 – Cirque du Soleil OVO, Echo Arena
The incredible Cirque du Soleil comes to Echo Arena on 16th-19th August with a celebration of nature that will blow your mind. With 50 performers from 17 different countries, you’re in for a memorable show! Tickets here.
11 – Bombed Out Church, Sunday Market
The Bombed Out Church continues it’s summer culture series with a Sunday Market on 26th August. There’ll be Artisan creations, Arts and Crafts, Street food & Live music. Info here.
12 – Adventure Dock, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool
When the temperatures rise in the city, what better way to cool off and have fun than with Adventure Dock! All you need is a swimming costume & plenty of energy! More info here.
13 – Run for Rhys, Croxteth Park
Get yourself to Croxteth Park with the dog and the kids and take part in the 2nd annual Run for Rhys event, remembering schoolboy Rhys Jones and raising money for the local community. We’ll see you there on 26th August for a fab family day. Info here.
14 – Red Bull Drift Shifters, The Strand

17 – Heathers 30th Anniversary Screening, FACT
Oh Veronica! Can you believe it’s been 30 years since Winona Rider starred in cult classic Heathers? Relive all the drama with a special screening at FACT on 13th August. Tickets here.
18 – Strange Collective All Dayer, Constellations

20 – August Bank Holiday at Cain’s Brewery Village
