Gaucho is more popular than ever – and here’s 5 reasons why you need to visit.
Award-winning steak restaurant Gaucho’s proved to be one of the city’s biggest dining success stories, adding an amazing culinary adventure for carnivores to Liverpool’s exciting food offering.
Since it opened to a star-studded welcome last year, Gaucho’s been greeting guest after guest to its No 7 Water Street venue and creating a spectacular eating experience along with more theatrical events like those offered at its immersive and intimate Beef Bar where you can watch as your personal chef prepares an Argentine Beef Tasting Menu.
It’s hard to imagine why, if you’re a meat eater, you haven’t already booked to enjoy the fabulous feast it promises. But if you’ve yet to enjoy being a Gaucho guest, here’s five reasons why you need to visit…
Sunday Lunch
We say Sunday Lunch, but it’s more like a Sunday Session at Gaucho with live music to enjoy while you indulge in one of life’s best-loved traditions, the Sunday roast. It’s the perfect way to round off a jam-packed weekend, especially for sore heads in desperate need of a Bloody Mary!
Each week from 12pm until 3pm Gaucho provides a bottomless roast menu, showcasing a range of quality meat options: picture perfectly pink roast beef, surrounded by fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside roasted potatoes, glazed vegetables, and Yorkshire pudding covered in lashings of gravy. Its never-ending roast means you can eat until your heart’s content (or your stomach is bursting) for just £36.
Friday late night entertainment
Those Latin Americans love to live life the full, and the party and culture of Argentina arrives at Gaucho every Friday night with DJs ready to spin the decks and get you heading onto the dance floor. Its small plates menu is available at the bar with a selection of the tastiest dishes – Shrimp Ceviche Taco, Mini Burgers, and Tofu Bites among them – to fuel your merengue moves or add heat to your salsa. The fun starts early but goes on till late, so if you want to stay in the celebrating saddle after Ladies Day at Aintree, you know where to race to!
Cocktails
Gaucho’s got the greatest menu of gorgeous drinks creations including some signature cocktails that you’ll absolutely love, like the luscious El Nino mixed with Pampero Blanco rum, Bacardi Coconut, mango, gomme, reconstructed lemon juice, and coconut espuma; or the deliciously decadent Truffle Old Fashioned with white truffle-infused Mortlach 12-year-old whisky, barrel-aged bitters, and chocolate.
Stunning interior
‘S’ is for stunning, sumptuous and sophisticated. The restaurant is housed in the beautifully renovated Grade II listed former Bank of Liverpool. The building’s been brilliantly reinvented to create a wow factor, and the luxurious seating and ornate interior with warm earthy tones makes the most of the rich woods and elegant marble of its historic past. Put simply, it’s special.
Premium steaks
Needless to say, Gaucho’s impeccably-sourced, carbon-neutral steaks are the stars of the show. Gaucho and its chefs have spent nearly 30 years serving the best beef in the world, with a range of prime speciality cuts creatively cooked to your liking and a mouthwatering menu of starters and mains alongside a collection of side dishes and sauces which ensure perfection on every plate.
