Tell us a better way to end the week and forget about the impending Monday doom, it’s got to be by having a Sunday Lunch surely?Â
Whether it be the giant Yorkshire pudding, the crispy and fluffy roasties, or the lashings of gravy, there is always a superstar on the dish of the ultimate comfort food.Â
We have put together a list to help your decision making for the next one just that little bit easier.Â
River North – Berry Street
These guys are not shy when it comes to meat on the plate, it is also accompanied by a giant Yorkie which we love to see. They do side dishes of pigs in blankets, say it with us: “normalise pigs in blankets all year round”. They also do a great cauliflower cheese.Â

PINS Social Club – Duke Street
PINS have their Summer Sunday Feast where you can enjoy a sharing style roast served on large copper trays. The chickens are marinated in garlic and herbs and all come served with a classic Caesar salad, focaccia, house-made slaw… and more! They even do a Sunday Lunch for dogs so you and your pooch can enjoy together.Â

Barnacle – upstairs at Duke Street Market
Barnacle’s already famous 2 and 3-course menus now feature a Sunday roast option available as a main choice. Set in the beautiful mezzanine at Duke Street Market, Barnacle’s focus is firmly upon local ingredients, provenance and sustainability and their Sunday roasts are a sublime celebration of all the goodness growing around us. Get stuck into lip-smackingly good Cumbrian sirloin of beef and Whitchurch roasted chicken breast and leg, with all of the associated trimmings which go with them.
