8 Reasons why Liverpool is simply the best city in the world for tourism

Every day is the perfect day to visit Liverpool. Rain or shine, we’re ready for you!

Back in 2018 alone, the city has been voted the ‘coolest place’ to live and is home to the ‘kindest’ people. Couple these accolades with a packed catalogue of major events which has seen the eyes of the world glued to our streets, and you’ve got a perfect destination for families, couples, groups and more. From ancient Chinese emperors to Giant spectacles, incredible music festivals, Lost Castles, adventures on the Mersey with Clippers and pirates, plus Bordeaux’s finest wines and there’s still so much more to come.

Our Cruise Terminal brings in a staggering amount of money to our economy and come December it will have welcomed an incredible 600,000 tourists to our city this year alone, including Mickey Mouse. Liverpool John Lennon Airport has just celebrated its busiest month for 7 years, proving people from far and wide are flocking to our city.

So visitor numbers to the city continue to grow, and with relocation interest from national and international brands on the up, now is the time to jump on board an open top bus and see what all the fuss is about!

Here’s 8 reasons why Liverpool should be at the top of your ‘must see’ list …..

Don’t miss St. George’s Hall, both cathedrals, the magnificent Three Graces and explore the Royal Albert Dock, where there’s something for everyone.

2 – Music in our Blood

There’s no doubt that The Beatles put Liverpool firmly at the heart of British music and paved the way for so many more ground-breaking acts to make it big in the states. Back home the city is now made up of pioneering recording studios and brilliant live music venues which attract international stars back year after year. LIMF, Creamfields, Africa Oye and International Beatles Week take the beats to the parks and streets and is the perfect way to spend a summer. All you need is love!

Our humble city started life around a small body of water and has grown (since as far back as the 1200’s) into a sprawling metropolis that has never lost its village or town feel, we re a tight knit city that with a huge heart and strong sense of community. We welcomed people from all other the world thanks to international shipping and the might River Mersey and we’re proud that they stayed and made homes here, shaping the community into what it is today. Rich, diverse, proud of its roots. Come and discover something new about Liverpool.
