PINS launches Summercamp, an old school American staycation in the heart of Liverpool
3 years ago
PINS on Duke Street has announced the launch of Summercamp, a four month long experiential event drawing inspiration from the classic American summer vacation – but strictly for adults.
Taking place from Spring Bank Holiday Thursday June 2nd until September, Summercamp will ignite the âol school nostalgia of summer camping daze, filled with whimsical days of discovery and wondrous nights of parties.Â
In partnership with premium Tequila brand Patrón, Summercamp will see the three-storey Duke Street venue transformed with a retro makeover, complete with wooden camp cabins with their own animal patrol identity, Adirondack deckchairs, swing-seats for chilling with a Peach Iced Tea, and eye-catching mirror balls for when the sun goes down.
Throughout the day, campers can enjoy a variety of immersive experiences on the cityâs largest heated rooftop bar, and against a backdrop of DJs and live music, you can pick up a new skill at a craft workshop, chance your hand at outdoor games, or relax and unwind with rooftop yoga. There will also be markets and much more to discover right on your doorstep, all whilst soaking up the summer rays.
After sunset, the party will move downstairs to the Main Bar, with themed Parade nights combining the lively spirit of the 4th July and a college homecoming celebration, complete with bands, DJs, the PINS runway flag bearers and explosive ticker-tape shower.
Revellers can dance the night away whilst sipping on one of the innovative camp-themed cocktails, with menu highlights including the Mango & Chilli Margarita that packs a punch with PatrĂłn Silver Tequila, Piment dâEspelette liqueur, lime & pineapple juice and mango, The Apple Pie Moonshine comprising Bourbon, apple pie syrup, lime & apple juices with a toasted white foam, or a Rhubarb Rancher with rhubarb gin and banana liquor topped with smashed Jolly Ranchers.
Slushies and sharers also feature on the menu and retro coolboxes will be available to order with bottle service to the table – happy campers can even upgrade to a Premium coolbox, which includes a bottle of PatrĂłn and mixers to really get the party started.
To soak up the cocktails, a Cook House food menu is brimming with traditional camp favourites and will be served from the rooftop, including a Louisiana Chicken Burger, Buffalo and BBQ Pizzas, and Chicken Tenders, all dished up with classic American sides and slaws.
Summercamp wouldnât be complete without a little friendly competition amongst campmates, and thereâs a whole variety of games to enjoy throughout the venue, including 12 lanes of classic ten-pin bowling, English and American pool, shuffleboard, table tennis and of course, the Summertime staple – beer pong.
Speaking about the planned event, PINS GM Jamie Finn said:Â âSummercamp is about igniting memories of hazy summer days and nostalgic good times, all whilst offering an exciting and varied event programme to keep customers entertained, day and night. We canât wait to show off our new look and roster of events, the rooftop is going to be the place to be in Liverpool this summerâ.
