Probably the smallest of hidden pubs in the city centre, The Engineer at the back of the White Hart on Hope Street definitely isn’t short on atmosphere or fans, and they can be guaranteed to gather on Thursdays for the weekly quiz. Starting at 7pm, it’s free to enter with bar tabs to be won.

The Pig & Whistle on Covent Garden is a city landmark boozer that got an impressive facelift in 2025. In amongst the new features it has the Pig and Quizzle, a night of proper pen and paper pub quizzing, on Thursdays from 7pm. First prize should really go to whoever came up with that name.
