Student Treasure Hunt offers to see the city and the chance to win fabulous prize package

Liverpool BID Company, which does a student takeover every year to help give them a warm Scouse welcome, is running its Discover Liverpool Treasure Hunt on September 27 & 28.

Students, either returning or for the first time, are invited to sign up to get involved, then they’ll be emailed a series of clues to well known places across the city.

Five locations have been chosen to give everyone taking part a snapshot of Liverpool’s amazing sights, so they range from the Georgian Quarter to the waterfront as well as the city centre.

All the students have to do is work out from the clues where they need to head to – they’ve been kept pretty straightforward to solve so it’s nice and accessible – then take a selfie there and either email the five pics to BID or share them with @liverpoolbidcompany and tag #lilStudentTakeover.

The treasure hunt will be live over two days, so there’s no race to see who can do it fastest, and the winner will be announced on Friday September 29.

There’s one huge prize package, which can be split by up to six people, so the idea is that housemates or friends can do it together.

Prizes include: a necklace from Say it with Diamonds; meal for 2 with a bottle of wine at Albert’s Schloss; cut and finish at Voodou; £20 bar tab at Yates Liverpool; Bundo Combo for 6-8 people at Bundobust Liverpool; Live Escape Room for 2-5 people at Breakout Liverpool; food court voucher for St John’s Shopping Centre; a meal at Wok to Walk Bold Street; Mates Rates Card for Hemingways Coffee House & Bar; 2 tickets for The Beatles Story; £50 Pop Boutique voucher; colour, cut and finish at Collinge & Co Graduates and a meal for two voucher at Toro’s Steakhouse Bold Street.

At the various landmark locations, there’ll also be discounts at local businesses over the two days for students, so there’s an extra chance to save while they’re out puzzling.
