Hugh Baird’s L20 Restaurant placed among the top 10% of restaurants worldwide
1 year ago
Today, Hugh Baird College’s training restaurant announced Tripadvisor has recognised it as a 2023 Travellers’ Choice award winner.
The coveted award celebrates restaurants that have consistently received excellent reviews on the review website over the last 12 months, placing L20 Restaurant among the 10% of all listings on Tripadvisor globally.
L20 is the training restaurant within Hugh Baird College’s L20 Hotel School. Launched in 2013, the school shapes the future of the hospitality industry by providing education, training, work experience and inspiration for those taking their first steps into the industry
The school is geared up just like a professional restaurant – so not only does it have a team of dedicated teaching staff but also a head chef, sous chefs, a restaurant manager and two restaurant supervisors – who, with students – run the core of the restaurant.
Martin Hedley, Director of Business Engagement at Hugh Baird College, said:
“Everyone is thrilled to receive this prestigious accolade. Our thanks go to our customers for their continued support and reviews, which help shape the L20 Restaurant. There is no greater reward than recognition, and I’m very proud of our entire team of students and staff, who have worked very hard to achieve great standards and service.
“The L20 Hotel School and L20 Restaurant demand the highest industry standards on a daily basis. Receiving these awards proves that the working environment we have created for our students ensures they are fully prepared and equipped to move seamlessly on to a career in our region’s top restaurants.”
John Boris, Chief Growth Officer at Tripadvisor, said:
“Congratulations to the 2023 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice winners. The travel resurgence we’ve seen throughout the past year has even further heightened the competition. Earning a Travellers’ Choice Award demonstrates that they have provided great experiences to those who matter most: their guests.”
