Advertorial
BOXPARK Liverpool is all about three things – eat, drink, play – and that means some of the most amazing street food in the city all under one roof.
The Baltic venue in Cains Brewery Village is BOXPARK’s first location outside London so it’s gone all-out to bring together fantastic traders including familiar names who’ve already got a big fanbase here.
Get ready to feel hungry, here are nine street food vendors to try when you go to BOXPARK Liverpool …
Crazy Pedro’s
Crazy Pedro’s brings the party and pizza to Liverpool and now it’s slinging fresh-baked New York-style pizzas at BOXPARK. Nothing’s left to chance – they tried out 20 different flours to make the perfect dough – and the team’s created all kinds of weird but wonderful topping combinations along with a few classics, either full 16-inch or by the slice.
Yum Cha
For authentic Pan Asian street eats, it’s got to be Lark Lane favourite and Hong Kong-style street food restaurant Yum Cha. Taking the best ideas from trips to Hong Kong, family-run Yum Cha specialises in dim sum, big plates, roast meats, steamed and fried dumplings, rice and noodle dishes. Its signature salt and pepper chicken is an absolute must-order.
Rose Street Falafel
If you already love Maray, here’s where it all began back in 2012 when founders James and Tom were inspired by a trip to the falafel epicentre of Paris – Rue de Rosiers in Le Marais. Rose Street Falafel revisits the sandwich that kickstarted it all with a menu of delicious falafel, stuffed-full pittas, halloumi bites, and tahini soft serve ice cream!
Madre Burrito
The team behind Belzan have already made Madre a go-to for tacos, margs and all things Mexican in Liverpool, now they’re bringing that amazing food culture to BOXPARK too with Madre Burrito. This is genuine street food, inspired by the streets of Sonora, so you can be transported to Mexico one delicious flavour-packed burrito at a time.
Shake?
At Shake? burger joint, it’s all about keeping things simple and just doing them really well which means a no messing menu of LA-style smash burgers, sides and shakes, all freshly made and nicely packaged. And, exclusive to BOXPARK, they’ve created a selection of everyone’sfavourite nostalgic soft serve flavours that’ll change with the seasons.
Simply Salt N Pepper
Liverpool just can’t get enough of salt & pepper seasoning, so obviously it deserves to be the superhero of its own venue. Simply Salt N Pepper does exactly that, serving fresh dishes like salt & pepper seasoned steak and frites, sui mai, hash browns and halloumi fries, all covered with what has to be the unofficial number one Scouse spice.
Pukht
Pukht does all the fast tasty favourites, like burgers, tacos, burritos, gyros and chaat bombs but with an Indian and Pakistani twist. Phukt focuses on fresh ingredients, large portions and real family-style cooking with dishes like their signature slow cooked butter chicken curry as well as lots of gluten free, halal, vegan and vegetarian options.
Yoki Social Table
This is KFC but not as you know it! Yoki Social Table specialises in sweet and spicy Korean Fried Chicken served with sticky rice and a tasty menu of authentic flavoursome Korean soul foods such as KBBQ beef steak, crispy fried mandu dumplings, traditional tteokbokki spicy rice cakes and vegan bibimbap (that’s a traditional Korean rice bowl).
Stateside Grill
Open from Thursday to Sunday in the venue’s garden kiosk, the team are serving up delicious bbq grilled burgers, chicken wings, skewers and their famous philly steak dipping sandwich. With summer around the corner, it’s the perfect food to enjoy while soaking up the rays in our garden terrace.
