The region’s biggest family attraction has confirmed the dates for its annual Emergency Services Day concession this month across two full weekends where Emergency Service workers and Blue Light Card holders can enjoy privileged access and unlimited rides.

Southport Pleasureland is inviting Emergency Service workers and Blue Light Card holders to treat their families and friends to a great day out over the weekends of June 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd with exclusive day passes at a hugely discounted price.

Park CEO Norman Wallis expressed his passion for the initiative, stating:

“These dedicated days are a way for us to give back to the heroes in our community.  They work in what can often be highly demanding and traumatic situations, and we want to give them the opportunity to have some quality time with their family away from the stresses of their every day working lives. It’s a small thing, but something we can do to say thank you to the incredible people who put themselves in harm’s way to protect and serve us every day.”

Anyone with valid Emergency Services ID or Blue Light Card will be able to purchase as many of these passes as they like for just ÂŁ15 each for unlimited rides on their day of choice, which means they can really treat their families and friends.

Emergency Services passes can only be purchased in advance on Pleasureland’s website.  Those who are eligible simply select their chosen date and, choose the Emergency Services day passes option and ‘add to basket’.  It’s as simple as that!

After booking guests will receive an email confirmation which they’ll need to bring with them on the day, along with their valid Emergency Services ID or Blue Light Card.

This initiative is now in its eighth year and Norman explained that the idea was conceived back in 2017 after the atrocious Manchester Arena bombings as a way to thank the Emergency Services.

Norman said:

“We’ve expanded the initiative in recent years to run over two weekends so that hopefully it gives shift workers an opportunity to ensure they don’t miss out on a chance of a memorable day with their loved ones”.

The park’s standard ticket terms and conditions apply.

Southport Pleasureland’s emergency services days are open to workers in Ambulance, Police, Fire Service, all armed forces (regular, reserves and veterans), Doctors and Nurses, NHS workers, Prison officers, Lifeboat station workers, border patrol and Blue Light Card holders.
