Extra date added for Chris McCausland at Southport Comedy Festival 2025 due to high demand

In response to overwhelming demand, organisers of the 2025 Southport Comedy Festival have added an extra date for stand-up sensation and Strictly Come Dancing star Chris McCausland.

Known for his award-winning comedy and appearances on top TV shows, Chris McCausland will bring his new tour, Yonks, to festival-goers next October, offering fans two chances to catch his unique wit and charm up close at Victoria Park.

Southport Comedy Festival Director Brendan Riley said: 

“We are delighted to be able to offer an extra show to enjoy Chris McCausland’s ‘Yonks’ tour at Victoria Park next year. 

“Due to phenomenal sales we have added an extra matinee show on Sunday 5th October 2025. “That’s two chances to see Strictly Come Dancing performer, comedian and TV star Chris McCausland up close and personal at next year’s Southport Comedy Festival  in association with Halliwell Jones MINI in our beautiful heated and seated Elite Marquees marquee. 

“The response from audiences to our 2024 Southport Comedy Festival, which only finished a few weeks ago, was superb. 

“It was a record event, with over 6,000 festival goers and six sold out shows enjoying the very best of stand up comedy from not just the UK but around the world. 

“We have already announced Chris McCausland and Ardol O’Hanlon for next year’s festival, with more big names to be announced soon.

Chris McCausland is hitting the road again with another masterclass in stand-up comedy that has literally been yonks in the making.

The 14^th annual Southport Comedy Festival will take place from 3^rd to 19^th October 2025. The entire festival will be staged for a fifth year in a giant luxury heated and seated marquee courtesy of Elite Marquees in Victoria Park, home of the world-renowned Southport Flower Show.
