6 reasons why Coleen is our Queen of the Jungle
2 hours ago
Even if you’ve not been watching all the trials and Bushtucker horrors in I’m A Celebrity on ITV every night, it’s impossible to miss the updates on this year’s campmates and for us there’s been one stand-out … Coleen Rooney.
We always had a feeling she’d be a star of the show and she’s not disappointed, quickly becoming a favourite with fans and the bookies.
Viewers votes have kept her in so far, but with evictions now coming thick and fast here’s why Coleen is our Queen of the Jungle …
She’s not been afraid to get stuck in to camp life
Unlike a few of her fellow jungle contestants – yes, Dean, we’re especially looking at you with your Houdini disappearing act – Coleen hasn’t held back in mucking in with whatever job she’s been given to help keep the camp running. She did hint she’d prefer not to do the cooking, but she’s been up for everything else and even first evictee Jane Moore tipped her to win, saying she was a grafter who kept everything going.
She’s showed her tough determined side in the trials
The piggy bank challenge didn’t exactly go to plan, but when Coleen and Dean faced Absolute Carnage she was brilliant. While Dean squealed through his part of the trial, she kept her cool and got on with things even when there were cockroaches and rats crawling all over her in the back of a truck. She faced her fears to unlock 9 out of 12 stars and she proved to be a dab hand with an Allen key too!
Coleen’s come across as genuine and down-to-earth
Anyone who thought she was going to be a camp diva has been proved wrong because Coleen has been lovely and down-to-earth from the start. She’s been funny too, showing a Scouse sharp sense of humour, and we loved it when she took no messing from Dean in the trial, warning him “you’ve got to be in this” before he had chance to kick off.
There’s been plenty of insight into life with Wayne
Although she’s notoriously private about what personal details she shares in the media, Coleen hasn’t swerved questions about her relationship with Wayne or their home life. She happily talked about how they got together, his proposal in a petrol station, and even dropped in conversation that their house has a couple of lakes, two bars and its own footy pitch!
She’s obviously a proud mum
Coleen has talked to her campmates about her four boys, explaining why the couple chose their names, and she opened up about her two miscarriages. When the letter from home came into camp, she absolutely beamed at the sweet message from her kids and from Wayne telling her how amazingly they thought she was doing.
And finally, let’s not forget, we got Wagatha Christie the sequel!
While all the other campmates were taken in and feeling sorry for the two new arrivals, Reverend Richard and Maura, Coleen had the situation sussed. Like the sleuth she proved she is when she was up against Rebekah Vardy, Coleen was first to piece together all the clues that they were actually living in luxury and called it.
