Hawksmoor celebrates 20th anniversary with limited edition fan-favourite menu

Hawksmoor is well & truly in the party mood this week after winning the Restaurant of the Year Award AND celebrating its 20^th birthday!

Hawksmoor might only have been in Liverpool since 2022, but it was launched a whole two decades ago.

And – hoorah for us – everyone is invited to mark the special occasion with them!

For a limited time only, the restaurant has created an incredible ‘20^th Anniversary – The Classics’ menu with all the amazing dishes people have loved over the years.

Founders Huw and Will say:

“Twenty years ago we were two best mates with lots of enthusiasm, very little expertise and a borderline-obsessive love of steak.

“We opened the kind of restaurant we wanted to hang out in — good people allowed to be themselves, the best ingredients, a real charcoal grill.

“It was fun, brilliant … and chaotic.”

They add of the menu:

“Somehow, 20 years, 14 restaurants and a lifetime of memories later, here are the dishes and drinks people still talk about most — the ones that helped make Hawksmoor, Hawksmoor.”

Starters include Old spot belly ribs with vinegar and coleslaw and Roasted scallops in white port & garlic, and there are delicious mains like Hawksmoor exclusive Longhorn Ribeye, dry-aged and grilled over charcoal, and 300g Ribeye, served with charcoal-roasted bone marrow & slow-cooked onions.

As always there’s a selection of succulent sauces, side dishes – think beef dripping chips, mash & gravy and Caesar salad – and, it goes without saying, to-die-for desserts including birthday cake (wonder if it’s got candles in?).

The limited edition menu at the plush India Buildings restaurant is just £75 per person.

And you can even raise a glass to the birthday boys and Hawksmoor with a trio of special cocktails including the delectable 20th Anniversary Martini, with Tanqueray No.10, yoghurt washed Ketel One, cold brew camomile, and gold leaf.

All this is, of course, on top of Hawksmoor’s fabulous summer set lunch menu with one course for £20, two courses for £25, and three courses for an incredible £30.

For that starters include Potted beef & bacon with Yorkshire puddings & onion gravy, and Smoked mackerel salad with new potatoes, watercress, and horseradish; and mains, 35-day dry-aged rump steak with steakhouse salad, Charcoal chicken Ana Mari, and Ash-baked beetroots.
pickled fennel, and horseradish crème fraiche, complete with side.

So whether you want a quick lunch, a pre-theatre meal, a low-key celebration or a mid-shopping refuel, it’s got you covered.
