Liverpool Aldi Colleagues Raise Over £11,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust
18 hours ago

A team of 50 Aldi colleagues from stores across Liverpool have raised an incredible £11,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust by taking part in a unique Aldi-themed marathon challenge.
The Teenage Cancer Trust fundraiser saw participants run from store to store at checkout speeds, covering a route that passed by nine Aldi locations across the city, including:
- Thornton
- Old Swan
- Maghull
- Norris Green
- East Prescot Road
- Huyton
- Gateacre
- Aigburth
- St John’s Centre
Originally setting a fundraising target of £3,000, the team went above and beyond, raising more than three times their goal through a mix of in-store initiatives and donations via JustGiving.

Eviee Tordoff, a placement student at Aldi UK, said:
“Crossing the finish line surrounded by all of our store colleagues was an unforgettable moment – especially after so many months of training in all weathers!
“We’re so proud to have raised an incredible amount for such a wonderful charity, and we can’t thank everyone that donated enough as we know just how far this money will go in making a positive impact.”
Aldi has been a proud charity partner of Teenage Cancer Trust since 2017, raising over £11 million to date. The supermarket is on track to reach £15 million by 2027, helping to fund specialised nursing care and support for young people facing cancer across the UK.

Laura Domoné, Regional Managing Director at Aldi UK, said:
“The team’s fundraising efforts are so inspiring – this is another example of how our colleagues go above and beyond for each other, our customers, and our charity partner.
“The work of Teenage Cancer Trust is invaluable, providing essential care and guidance to young people going through such difficult situations. We’re incredibly proud of our colleagues who continue to take on amazing challenges in support of the charity.”
Teenage Cancer Trust remains the only UK charity dedicated to providing specialist nursing care and support for young people with cancer. Thanks to the incredible efforts of Aldi colleagues in Liverpool, more funds will go towards ensuring that young people receive the lifesaving treatment and emotional support they need.
