Budding chefs from Liverpool will join forces with city centre restaurant, Voyagers, to offer an exclusive dining experience, showcasing their culinary talents and innovation.
Following the success of its first collaboration in February this year, Voyagers Restaurant & Bar has announced that it will once again be working with L20 Restaurant, which is part of Hugh Baird College.
This special event will offer guests a unique experience, shining the spotlight on Liverpool’s next generation of hospitality talent, while celebrating innovation, talent, and the art of an exceptional service.
Taking place at Voyagers Restaurant & Bar on Parr Street on Thursday 18 September from 6pm, guests will be welcomed with a selection of nibbles designed by head chef Jake Parry and the Voyagers team.
A four-course menu carefully selected by the team at L20 Restaurant and crafted by the talented students of L20 Hotel School, in collaboration with Voyagers’ chefs, will then be served.
This second collaboration also marks a special milestone for Voyagers, which has since welcomed three students from the February takeover into their team.
Among them is Alfie Kennedy, 19, from Bootle, who recently graduated from Hugh Baird College with a Professional Cookery Diploma.

He said:
“I am so looking forward to working with my L20 family again and showing the students what I have achieved since graduating.
The menu includes some of the L20 Restaurant’s most popular and favourite dishes, including warm mushroom and truffle broth; halibut with courgette and saffron chutney, black olive tapenade and courgette and basil purée; lamb rump with boulangère potatoes, roasted radish, mint oil and lamb jus.
Desserts include whey tart with roasted white chocolate; honey and yoghurt granita; and blackberry sorbet.
Curtis Goodwin, Food & Beverage Manager of Voyagers Restaurant & Bar, said:
“We’re so excited to continue our partnership with L20. Not only does it give our guests an unforgettable evening, but it creates real opportunities for young people looking to start their careers in hospitality.
Stephen Otty, Curriculum Manager L20 Restaurant, said:
“This collaboration gives our students the chance to design, prepare and present dishes in a professional environment, and seeing alumni like Alfie succeed is an incredible inspiration for our current learners.”
