Haus of Fun and FunnyBoyz celebrate hugely successful first year on Stanley Street

The Haus of Fun and FunnyBoyz family are proudly raising a glass to celebrate a hugely successful first year.
In just twelve months since getting the keys to 25, 27 & 29 Stanley Street – formerly Icon, The Social and The Navy – they have created something truly unique in the heart of Liverpool’s Pride Quarter.
Just some of the incredible year one achievements included:
September 2024: Taking over The Navy Bar and officially got the keys to their new home.
October 2024: Opened DysCo and became Runners Up at the UK National Diversity Awards, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards and the Flowers Awards – beating over 80,000 nominees.
November 2024: Opened Benidorm Bar, welcomed BabyStorm’s Lesbian Events for the first time, partnered with The Award-Winning LGBT Business Group The IN-Club, and were honoured by a visit from the Lord Mayor of Liverpool.
December 2024: Fed Liverpool’s homeless at Christmas, appeared on BBC’s Smoggie Queens, saw Timeout Magazine crown The Navy Bar 2.1 as “Best Club in Liverpool 2024,” and hosted Drag Race Season 6 winners Lil, Kyran and Rilease at DysCo.
January 2025: Welcomed the Queen of Scotty Road as a regular fixture and partnered with the legendary SOUL TRAIN to bring the city’s biggest soul event to Liverpool’s Pride Quarter for the first time.
February 2025: The Chatter Boys ranked Benidorm Bar as Liverpool’s Best Gay Bar and The Navy Bar received a coveted 5am licence.
Spring 2025: Launched Liverpool’s cheapest Happy Hour (£1 drinks), drew huge queues for their incredible popular Kylie Minogue afterparty at DysCo, and gave over 60 local and national DJs a platform through ‘So You Think You Can DJ?’
June 2025: Won the Liverpool Lifestyle Award and welcomed the DOLLY GOLD mascot to the team.
July 2025: Erected stunning new Haus of Fun signage, hosted Stanley Street Pride – headlined by SumTing Wong, Sunshine After the Rain’s ‘Berry’, and many more – and were ranked in the world’s top 1% of businesses by TripAdvisor for the third year running.
August 2025: Won the Lux Life Award for “Most Welcoming Community Venue.”
