The hidden Castle Street bar that’s one of Liverpool’s best kept secrets
3 hours ago

Castle Street is one of Liverpool’s most popular nightlife areas – but there’s still one hidden venue that many people have failed to spot!
Opened for just over a year, The Lounge @ 62 has got to be Liverpool’s best kept secret … until now!
The sophisticated cocktail bar is discreetly situated on the lower floor of the 4-star boutique 62 Castle Street Hotel.
But the intimate and cosy lounge is not just an exclusive hideaway for hotel guests, it’s the perfect place for pre-drinks before a meal, a classy cocktail to get your evening with the girls off to a great start, or a quiet drink for two when you want the vibe to be chilled and relaxation is key.

Set in a Grade II-Listed former bank building, The Lounge @ 62 has been sympathetically imagined, with the rich modern furnishings complementing the original features of its impressive past, like the ornate and decorative ceiling, the polished wooden panelling, and the glistening glass chandeliers.
Around opulent marble tables are sumptuous chairs in shades of teal and golden-coloured velvet; or visitors can choose to sit in snug and comfortable booths, or at benches which overlook Castle Street, enjoying the calm which contrasts to the busyness outside.
And table service means you’ll never be jostling for space at the bar and can instead make the most of the attention of friendly and focused staff.
The drinks menu you’ll choose from is select and carefully curated to include premium brand spirits and well-chosen wines, from crisp whites to warmer reds and, of course, prosecco and Champagne.
Lounge @ 62’s expert mixologist is always on hand too to create the best French Martini with vodka, Chambord, vanilla Syrup, and pineapple Juice or a classic Margarita, or you can savour the ever-changing signature ‘62’ cocktail – while always being able to take advantage of super value two-for-one cocktails.
Music is provided by the Lounge’s resident DJ who offers a varying mix of tunes that’ll add to the easy atmosphere, ‘yet leave you able to appreciate the relaxed ambience and continue a conversation’.

Levi Fearon, Bar Manager, says:
“The Lounge @ 62 is just a beautiful bar, and a space that balances sophistication with comfort. We’ve only been here for a year and while we haven’t shouted out ourselves there are still many people who’ve found us and come back time and time again.
But, he smiles, “we’re sociable’, so we’d like to welcome more. Whether people fancy a couple of drinks before dining at The Ivy opposite, or want a cocktail before heading into the heart of town, come and say hello. We might be a best-kept secret now, but we don’t think we’ll stay a hidden gem for long.”
